would be great if we could no

btw we are a couple in our late twenties....no kids...hence dont mind avoiding the kidies stuff...

thanks

. The Disneyland Paris park is beautiful, and combines the size of Florida’s Magic Kingdom with the detail of Disneyland.
Frontierland, Adventureland and Fantasyland seem to be much larger here than in the US parks, and Big Thunder is perhaps the park’s main draw. And while I’m not a fan of how the US’ Dumbo rides are done (and done … and done), the one here is magnificent. The coaster rides (BTM, Space and Indiana Jones) are much more rough than in the US, and find many of the ride vehicles a tight fit.

The Studios park here is very small, even smaller than DCA, although not bad in any respect. The main attraction seems to be Crush’s Coaster, which is (roughly) the equivalent of the Animal Kingdom’s Primeval Whirl, larger, with actual Disney theming.

You don't need a touring plan- crowds are thinner, and spend more time gazing then riding. While you are not traveling with kids, I suggest you be "a kid" and enjoy some of those kiddie rides...:surfweb:

À coeur vaillant rien d'impossible.

when are you going?

if you are only going for one day i would suggest getting there as early as possible, the park opens at 10 but you will be able to get onto main st from 9.30.

I don't know how flexible your dates are but if you can visit on a weekday rather than a weekend, the crowds will be less.

I agree with Ware Bears, if possible - definately try to visit on a weekday.

Personally, if I had a one-day visit to DLP - pressuming you have a ticket to access both the Magic Kingdom Park AND Walt Disney Studios Park. I would start my day in Disney Studios - being at the gates for the moment it opens. I would rush onto Tower of Terror, then Rock and Roller Coaster and then Crush. You then have done the big main-rides in that park. If you want to stroll around and visit the other attractions - that's at your leisure. This should take you upto around midday.

I would then head out and over to Magic Kingdom and bee-line to Space Mountain : Mission 2 in Discoveryland, from then follow the lands around taking some photos along the way (Fantasyland is pretty beautiful with lots of hidden gems) - whilst in Adventureland I would then head to Indiana Jones, then do Pirates of the Caribbean - finally in Frontierland I would either queue for Big Thunder Mountain or grab a fastpass (depending on the queue) and head for Phantom Manor.

A tiresome day but one that would be well-worth it! Do as much as you can. If you get a chance to see a bit of the parade then go for it - but if you really aren't too fussy about catching the Parade - USE THIS TIME WISELY!! Whilst the afternoon parade is going on in Magic Kingdom the rides are pretty much EMPTY - so go for the big ones around this time (Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones, Buzz Lightyear - all the ones that get busy).

Finally, once your loooong day is over and the park is closed - treat yourself in Disney Village to some food - a few drinks and some shopping... Most of the merchandise in the Parks you can buy along Disney Village anyways - so why waste an hour of valuable park-time on shopping when you can do that once it all closes?

Have fun - and wear comfy shoes!!!! :)

Also, don't forget to check out the resident Dragon underneath the Castle :thumbsup2

Just curious - does this 1 day plan work on the parks closing at 11pm or the off season time of 6pm? We're going in a couple of weeks for just 1 day and I thought I had zero chance of seeing any of the Studios (as I HAVE to go to Disneyland Parc) because the parks are only open 10am - 6pm. Just wondering if this plan would be possible when we go? We're just 2 adults (no kids), late 20's too. Been to DLRP before lots of times so kind of know the ropes but never been off season before so not used to the shorter park opening hours (and a bit gutted about them!).

Hiya,

This plan was worked out for 10-6... I've done all of the above in the 8 hours time before. It's just careful planning and knowing what you want to acheive.

As I mentioned with the Studios, the only BIG rides are Tower of Terror, Rock and Rollercoaster, and (if you fancied) Crush's Coaster... once you've done those, you can safely say you've achieved the big ones for that park and can skip on over to Magic Kingdom for Space Mountain and the rest...

Queues can vary from day to day, and so these need to be taken into account. If you're there and you find a big queue on a ride that offers the free fast-pass service - USE IT!! i.e. on Space Mountain you could get yourself a fastpass and have lunch whilst waiting, or use the time to go on a ride nearby...

Hope that helps a little?? :cutie:

ooh thanks!

You've got me thinking now that maybe, just maybe, I might be able to squeeze in the studios as well (I really wanted to go check out the new Toy Story playland as going to WDW next year so at a push COULD leave Rockin Rollercoaster and Tower or Terror for then!).

We're going on a Wednesday off peak so I guess we've got as good a chance as any of it being on the quieter side....

WOOHOO bring on DLP!!!

Sounds fabulous!! :yay:

Wednesday is the perfect weekday too! So fingers crossed for you, it will definately be a lot quieter than a weekend or a Friday at least!!

Just make sure that you are at the gates of WDS for the moment it opens, and have a plan of action as to what your most prized goal is in that park... then the instant them gates open - you don't let rain, snow or gale winds stand in your way between you and that first ride! :rotfl2:

I always find that parade times help immensely though! So use them to your advantage if you're not overly fussed about seeing them... but if you do want to catch them on your trip just grab fastpasses where you can and let them work their magic for you :wizard:

Wahoo!!!

Thanks for your help - not 100% sure whether to brave the Studios or hit DLP with ALL of my attention but you've definitely given us food for thought! Thank you!!!

I don't want to sway you or anything, but WDS now has Toy Story Playland, Toon Studios etc... it could be fun to at least pop your head across the doors if your ticket permits! It would be a shame to miss anything...
Even if you just go and ride on Crush's Coaster (Nemo Themed Ride) as I LOVE it!! And it gets HUUUGE queues... so it could be fun to be there for park opening, rush to that - get on it - have a quick nose around and get out and goto Magic Kingdom - which is possible to do within the hour...

Whatever you choose to do - you will have a fantastic time!

You might have just twisted my arm...

I do really want to see Crush's Coaster (and are tickets ARE 2 park hoppers)... it may be rude not to.

I just don't want to waste 1 single second!

I know how you feel, but Crush is so unique to DLP that it would indeed be rude not to...!

It could be worth listing the attractions you desperately want to visit - then drawing up a plan that way? Just go with the idea that everything is acheiveable and you will be fine! :wizard:

Best bit of advice i was given before we went for the first time was to ignore all the shops and decorations and meet and greets,as soon as you get in head straight for the popular rides, ride them then get fast passes for the same rides for later.Once you have done all the big rides you can take more time to look around and take in the scenery with the option of using the fast passes later. The shops will still be there to shop in later on the way out but if you shop first the line times will double then you will end up spending half your day stood in lines which is no fun!!!Out of all the times we have been the longest line i have ever stood in was for crush so i think rottie is right in saying do the studios first and go straight to crush.

Thanks for all your suggestions...think it was gr8....was planning to go there on friday n just chnaged the same to thursday as hoepfully it would be even lesser crowds :)....Just wanted to know...can we only take one fast pass at a time (and wait for it to expire / go on the ride before we take the next fast pass)...or can we go n take fast passes on all the rides???

Thanks for all the suggestions - we managed to squeeze so much into out 1 day!! We did indeed go to the Studios first (stayed there about 2 hours before heading over to DLP). In that short time we managed to squeeze in Crush's Coaster, RC Racer, Parachute drop, Rock n Roller Coaster and Armageddon which I thought was not bad going.

Then over at DLP we got to go on everything we wanted to except Thunder Mountain and Indiana Jones which were closed due to the horrific weather (TORRENTIAL rain) but on the plus side we did get to go on Buzz Lightyear 3 times instead!!

Some of the queues were ridiculously short (combination of a Wednesday in mid September and awful weather I think) for example - we literally just walked onto Space Mountain which has always had very long queues every other time I've been. The longest the wait time ever said for that was 10mins.

We got absolutely drenched but had an amazingly fun day and managed to pack in so much!!! Thanks for all the tips - worked a charm!
