Hi everybody! I'm returning to WDW in June and wanted to loose around 20 lbs by then. The only problem is, is that I work full time and attend college full time. I work from 8:15-3:15 M-F, and class 4:30 until 10:30 M,W and 12:30-3:30 on Sat. I feel like I can't find them time to exercise. I eat right and have seen some results, but not as much as I know I would if I worked out. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! :yay:

I got a Wii Fitness and it motivates me and gets me active with very little prep or post time and its even fun toning up again!:cool1:

Can you get up early and go before classes start?

I used to have a crazy schedule when I was working and still taking classes, I would go to the gym for 5:30 every morning and work out for about 45min to 1hr. I hated getting up early, but it was my only option.

right after work on Tue/Thurs? Sat morning? sunday?

I feel your pain. I had a mandatory 48 hour work week while I was a full time undergrad. There are little things you can build into your day that might not sound like exercise but has the same effect. For example, parking at the far end of the parking lot instead or close by to get some extra walking in. Using the stairs instead of elevator too.

Good luck.

I will tell you that once you graduate only having to work will make you feel like you have so much free time.

Thank you for the advice. Ugh, it's torturous. I feel like time is definitely not on my side lol. I do park far away from where I have to be and I take the stairs wherever I have to go. Once I graduate, I'm definitely taking a WDW vacation to reward myself lol

what do you do for work? I know I workout at work. Im a teacher so I "play" cookie monster and chase the kids (and ocationally catch um). I also make them work out. We do our jumpin kangroos (jumping jacks) every day! it just gets down to making it fit, do you live close to work? I jog to work (ok walk fast)

I work with children with Autism. I do participate with them in gym and it can be strenuous at times. I live an hour and fifteen minutes away from work lol so I don't think I can drive but I will definitely figure out a way to fit it in. Thanks!

This was the only thing that worked for me too. Many years ago, my schedule was so crazy that the only time I could work out was early AM. I too hated getting up so early, but as the years have gone by I am so use to this scedule that I can't imagine working out any other time. Now my schedule is less crazy & I even have an hour after work before I pick up the kids from school, but I still get up early and exercise. The morning exercise routine has become my peace & quiet time (no one is awake yet) to mentally prepare for the day ahead. I have been working out in the AM for 10 years now & I can't imagine doing it any differently at this point. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I get up early and do an exercise video before work, and that works well. I have several walk away the pounds videos that i love, and the workouts are 20-60 minutes long, depending on when I get up. I can't get to a gym, but it's nice to do at home, because I can just get up, throw on my clothes and exercise without having to look presentable, or spend time driving any where.

I struggle with finding time, too. I am a wife and mother of two, a full time student (doing some student teaching as well), and a part time waitress. I just try to fit in what I can. The minimum I allow is 30 minutes of cardio 4-5 times a week, abs a few times, and arms once or twice. I think that'd be my advice...start with small goals, like cardio 3 times a week and build up. I used to do an hour of cardio at least 5 days a week (in prep for my wedding) and for my schedule, it's just not something I could keep up long term. If you can get it done in the a.m., that's great. Feels good to have it done for the day.

The only way for me is to set my alarm for 5 am and just do it. I work from home and homeschool 3 kids, so I hear you when you say it's hard to find time. Life is just so busy.

Count me as another early riser. I HATE it...but I do it. I gripe, moan and complain from 4:30 right up to when I see the rest of the swim team at 5:45. There is a lot to be said about being DONE at 8 am and having my after work time free to do other things, though.
