So... I am looking into getting a bag for our trip. I used to have the best backpack, but no longer have it.

I am looking into the $20 - $30 price range.

I am currently torn between

Baggallini MES160 $27 including shipping

Baggallini ZOB156 $21 including shipping

Disney create your Own backpack $32 with shipping (I am hoping Someone has a review on this pack)

I like this idea of the baggallini being light weight, but I really like the Disney one, but can't find any reviews on it.

Have you used on of these? Do you like your choice? Do you have another idea?

Something to consider about the sling bags is that you can usually only carry them on one side or the other. I used one of those Buxton bags one time and I got tired of carring it on the same side. It just didn't work to swap it to the other side and it made my hip sore. If you get one, I would try shopping with it first. I would rather use a backpack or large purse(or messenger bag) with a single strap to wear it across my body.

I know you dont have this as an option but I only carry a small messenger type bag. it's great for rides b/c you can sit w/o taking it off and you can swap it from shoulder to shoulder if one should get sore or tired.:thumbsup2

Great bag!! My partner is taking a bag similar to that..I'm a purse gal, but didn't want to lug my HUGE purse, so I bought this one and I LOVE it!! I was VERY surprised by all the room inside. The ladies in my office loved it as well! It's the Vera Bradly Hipster!

New here to posting, but lurked before my trip!

I just go back from DW on Monday. I got the Baggalini Messenger after tons of rave reviews on here and elsewhere. Here's my take on bags at Disney and the Baggalini in particular.

1) If you don't have kids, by all means GO small! No need for a big bag if you don't have to tote around snacks, extra underwear, wet wipes, etc.

2) I stitched my straps in place since I'm quite short and needed it on it's shortest strap setting, and I also made a strap cover for my neck because it tended to rub.

3) The Baggalini was GREAT for walking around because the weight of the bag was more on my back than my shoulder. I also LOVED the hidden pocket up front, since I kept my tickets and FPs there.

4) However, it was HOT and I had a permanent wet spot between my 'girls' where the bag rested.

5) Also, when I did have to take it off for rides, it always knocked my baseball cap off...sounds trivial, but it was annoying.

I think when I go again, I might go for VB backpack. Especially if I go in the summer...the hot nylon is HORRENDOUS against your skin after awhile.

I'm a fan of the Vera Bradley mini and regular hipsters. You can toss them in the laundry and they are cooler against the skin. Some of the colors are on sale on line right now at the VB site. Also, some of the backpacks are on sale in selected colors.

Travelon makes some nice wallets with straps.

Thanks guys... now add the Vera bag onto the ones I am "torn over" :)

I think for sure I dont want to get the baggallini backpack.

So now I just wish I could find someone with that backpack. Its not that I need something huge (but definitely larger than veras minibag) I just need to fit sunscreen, all the usuals, blackberry, and I was hoping a pair of socks or flip flops.

Here is a copy of my Vera Bradley Hipster review from another thread, hopefully this helps you a little bit.

Here is how a VB Hipster carries on a 5'3", not so skinny, person.

The Hipster photographed is the now retired hipster style (no flap) in the Daisy Daisy print. I did not take any photos of what I carried inside, but I did carry a lot, and the strap never bothered my neck. Super comfy!

I now carry this bag exclusively in several prints, including but not limited to (Capri Blue, Pink Elephants and Daisy Daisy).

I should have some time today, I will try to take some photos of what I carried inside the bag for Disney, so you all get an idea of what fits. :hippie:

Next post:

OK, so I loaded up one of my extra hipsters (capri blue - retired style and color - but same size as a current hipster) with the gear I carried while at WDW, and I took photos.

First a front photo of my loaded and zipped bag:

Inside the empty main pocket. Here you will find the main pocket and two slip pockets (shown at the bottom of the photo):

Inside the small front zip pocket I carried 4 Target gift card envelopes (one for each person, holding our souvinier $ ), my matching Zip ID wallet, our photo pass cards, and my cell phone (not shown).

Inside the front slip pocket, I carried my daily theme park guide maps, times guide, Sharpie (for autographs) and my lip gloss.
Exterior:

Interior:

Inside my main zippered pocket, I carried a water bottle, 4 ponchos (2 shown), 1 gallon zip-loc (to keep certain items dry), and camera. Plus the interior slip pockets held a small bottle of Tylenol and Tums.

On the outside of my bag, I clipped this handy dandy carabiner clip that came with the coordintaing bottle of sunscreen... note this particular bottle is fashioned to be carried with said carabiner clip. See?

This bottle was found on the check lanes at Target, and purchased for $3.99. It was purchased with the intent of keeping the bottle and refilling as necessary - since we went in October, this one little bottle was sufficient.

Attached to this said carabiner clip was also a bottle of Purel hand sanitizer - not located for this photo op. I also attached any souvinier items I purchased during our day... The Disney bags attached nicely to the carabiner clip.

This completes my photo review... I hope this helps someone. :wizard:

I just wanted to let you know that this bag is actually a mini hipster, the one in my photos posted above is the regular Hipster. :flower3:

I love Vera Bradley bags and the mini bags work the best for me at Disney. Check out Vera Bradley on line (I think it is verabradley.com), click on sale and look around. Many items are on sale and some colors in the sale area and even cheaper than others so click on every color. I just ordered a mini as shown above (the smaller one) for 16.00 and my sister got one for 28.00, we got free shipping too! In the store these bags (new colors) are 45.00. Have fun!
