Hi everyone!

We've just discovered this game, and I'm having fun with it, even though I'm not a kid! (It's really a bit too hard for young kids, don't you think?)

Anyway, the second quest involved finding Mickeys and clicking on them. Whenever I get to the "20,000 Leagues" one...I can't figure out where to go! There's nothing in the VMK that says 20,000 Leagues. Can you help?

Also, if you can't find them all during one session, do you just fail the quest? It seems like it's timing me, and then if I can't finish, I have to start from scratch...

Thanks so much for any help!!

RG

Hint: Look at the places in the game and see which one seem to match up with the movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction that used to be at Walt Disney World. That narrowed it down to three places for me.

A bigger hint- is it is in Tomorrowland...

When you get in the room you have to get up near the desk to get the mickey- to get up you need to find the exit spot on the floor just to the left of bottom exit to the water areas

good luck

Huh?
Is this new to the Hidden Mickey Quest?

Other answers to your post:

The quests are timed and if you don't complete a task you get sent back to a prior task (I think it's 3 tasks back).

I suggest visiting the different lands and the rooms within those lands a bit to familiarize yourself with some of the sights before you work on too many quests. Explore the rooms by using their exits to see where things go rather than just clicking on the map. You will need to know some of the odd ones to complete tasks. Plus, a lot of the clues rely on you remembering where a specific object or scene is located in the game. At some point you will need to be able to play the games within the VMK game to complete a quest task.

Good luck with your quests and enjoy VMK!

I believe this is for the new Golden Mickey Quest.

It is a fun quest. Took me several times of starting over between crashes, disconnects, and running out of time. They are mickeys that you walk over to pick up and are only visible if you are on the quest. They are much easier to see than the hidden ones on the walls. If you can find the right room, that is! :)

Thanks everyone.

I'm really trying...it's just hard to remember how to do everything! I liked the trivia quest because you're answering questions and can always guess. But the quests that are timed or that you can't go back to are very hard, and I know the quests where you have to finish a game with a certain amount of points won't be do-able for me.

Boot...this is one of the two basic quests that have been available to me since I started the game. I'm not sure if I actually had to go anywhere to get them originally. Have you just clicked your Q button to see if it is there for you?

I hope this encourages you to keep trying. Keep in mind that many of us started playing this game almost a year ago and Frontierland and Tomorrowland didn't exist yet. We had a lot of time to learn about the rooms when the Virtual Magic Kingdom was a lot smaller. We have had a lot of practice with the mini-games. Yet we are still having problems completing some quest tasks.

I believe the quests are designed to "make" you explore the entire Virtual Magic Kingdom and are intended to take a fairly long time to complete. I'm certain I would find them more than overwhelming if I were new to the game. So, please be patient with yourself and don't get too frustrated. The quests are supposed to be hard and you have the added complication of being a fairly new guest in the game.

Of course, a lot of us on this board are more than eager to help answer your questions and to guide you through the game and the quests. Just ask here or find us in the game!

Please don't give up! I think it is impressive that you are trying the quests without much prior experience with the game. That takes guts! If you find yourself getting too frustrated, take a break from the quests. Go smash a few of Ned's boats - you get credits for venting your frustration - or practice one of the mini-games without the pressure of the quest. Even better, come find some of the people from this board and just goof around for a while. Just be prepared to laugh and dance a lot!

Thanks guys!

I didn't realize the game has been out that long. I just stumbled onto it while researching our upcoming trips to DL (December) and WDW (February).

P.S. And thank you for the tips...I'm now stuck at the hint that says "Mickey is not the only mouse you will find here". It gives a picture of something that looks like the wood spindles on a front porch. I see what you mean...than if I had more familiarity with all the spots in the VMK, I might now where the picture is from...but I've searched to no avail! Plus, then the time expires which drives me nuts!

Big hint: Go to the store in Frontierland. It has a balcony that matches the quest picture.
