Need help finding phone number MGM Star Tours Store

While at Disney in October, my wife and I fell in love with the little remote control R2D2 robots that the Star Tours store was selling inside MGM. I thought, ha, I'll find them cheaper than the $85 (or $89, can't remember) price they're asking. I wanted to get one for each of my two sons. Well, it turns out the only other place that I can find that has them is The Sharper Image and they want something like $129 for them. The store attendant at Star Tours told us that it's possible to call back and order them should we decide we wanted them. Well, I can't find the number on the net anywhere and I thought I'd send a shout out to all you helpful friendly folks here at the DIS forums before I get on the phone for who knows how long.

You need the Parks Merchandise number. That, I believe, is pretty accessible. They can find just about anything sold inthe parks and you can mail order it from them.

I don't know if you already bought it or not ... we saw it on our trip to and after we got home decided to buy it for DS for Christmas. I found it on the hasbro website -- with free shipping right now -- for $99. I think that may be a few dollars cheaper than buying it through Disney and paying for shipping. I can't post the link because I'm too new here, but I found it through their site search. They call it --- Star Wars R2-D2 INTERACTIVE ASTROMECH DROID

How funny! DS is a Star Wars freak!!! My son wants the Imperial Walker AT-AT for xmas & we saw it there 3 weeks ago. DH said we should buy it & ship it home & I told him he was crazy. Well, I can't find it ANYWHERE!!! (Except for ebay at $100 more.) Toys R Us won't even accept any online orders for it! I can't wait to try this tomorrow - wish me luck - this is one of only 2 things he's asked for xmas.

Awe shoot Drewsmom!
I just received delivery of them from Hammacher Schlemmer yesterday. I'm wondering if it's worth $60 and the hassle to refuse the Hammacher packages and order from Hasbro. I used all types of shopping search engines and kept getting directed back to Hammacher Schlemmer. I paid a final price of $131.45 each after shipping

I had called the Disney Merchandise line and they were back ordered. Since they charge so much for shipping, the price was going to end up being about $105 + tax or roughly $115. I decided to pay $30 more to order them now and not have to worry about DM getting them in stock. I'll check the Hasbro site and see if I can find them for that price. Then, I'll have a decision to make. I haven't opened the packages yet so I have the right to refuse them if Hammacher Schlemmer won't deal with me on the price or offer to pick them up and refund all of my money. I'll try to post back what happens if I can find the time...the busyness of the holidays.

Ok, I checked Hasbro and for two R2's, it's $215 after shipping. That's $46 less but Hammacher Schlemmer does have one bonus. They offer a lifetime guarantee on product reliability and satisfaction as long as it's not used for commercial purposes. I guess that's worth the $23 each. If I'd found the hasbro deal first, I certainly would have jumped on it though.

My DD had been asking for this robot since June. She saw it in the Sky Mall magazine on a flight June we took.
We later saw it at Sharper Image and it was way more expensive! So when we were in WDW in September and saw it for the cheaper price, we bought it. It is precious! My girls love it!!!!! (They are HUGE Star Wars fans!)
You can buy it from Sky Mall, but it is more expensive than WDW.

My DDs are Star Wars freaks. They also saw the AT AT and asked for it in September. We didn't buy it then. We have tried Toys R Us for it, and they are out. I did try WDW merchandise this weekend, and they are out too!!!!! We can't find them anywhere!!!!!!!! We should have bought it in September. We got the R2D2 and said we would save the AT AT for Christmas. I had no idea they would be so hard to find!!!!

I tried to order it on Hasbro website this morning and the shipping didn't come off -- so I called just now and the Hasbro lady said that the shipping comes off after you've paid the whole thing. And sure enough, I placed the order and the shipping was deducted at the end. So my total price was $99.99 even thought it looked like it would be $10 more -- the free shipping is only good through the 30th though.

I don't know if it's worth the headache for you with having already ordered it from that other site -- and having the peace of mind of knowing that store will guarantee it is pretty impressive. Just thought I'd share

We got the R2D2 and said we would save the AT AT for Christmas. I had no idea they would be so hard to find!!!!

DH called merchandising again last night & the woman he spoke with told him I know exactly what item you mean, and so many people have been calling about it! They are sold out & don't have any on back order.

My friend is going to WDW next week, and I told her to call me immediately if she sees them there!!! I doubt it will happen, but if she came back & told me she saw them I'd be even more upset with myself!

DH checks the computer every day. Today Toys R Us web site is not even showing the AT AT as out of stock. The picture is just not there at all!! They must not plan to get anymore in.

If there is a TRU near you I strongly suggerst stopping in, as they ay have several ATATs sitting on the shelves. I have 2 TRUs here in Austin and can tell you there are plenty in stock here, retail price 89.99.
They also have the correctly-scaled TIE Fighters (larger wings-very cool) at 40 a pop I think.

Target has the exclusive this year on the Imperial Shuttle, probably also around 100.00

Does TRU it stand for something other than Toys R Us? If it is Toys R Us, then they are all gone here. They are not even showing up online either. My DH went to the 3 stores near us, and there were none on the shelves. The worker said that he doesn't expect any more in. However, if TRU stands for something else please let me know.

I ran into a similar situation recently. I forgot to go back to a store in MGM studios and purchase a trophy. I called the WDW main number 407-W-DISNEY and went through their prompts. I was connected to a very knowledgable castmember. I explained to her where I saw the items and gave her the best description I could. She immediately pulled up the item and it was here in West Monroe, La. in just 9 days.

As long as you can give them a halfway decent description and tell them where you originally saw the item, they can find it in the merchandise system for you.
