I know there is another horrible storm coming, and I hate to bother anyone in Florida, but I don't know where else to ask. My mom, who is 86, told me yesterday that my uncle (her sister's husband) died three months ago and none of the surviving relatives on his side wanted to tell her because they thought she was "too feeble" (those are her words) to handle it. She only found out because his son, (my cousin) also died recently (at age 51) and his brother called my mother's other neice, who broke the news to my mom. Anyway, this is a longwinded way to ask if any one knows how I can find out anything about the death of Kenneth Stillson Sr or Kenneth Stillson Jr. in the Tampa area. I've tried google to find area newspapers, but so far nothing.
I know it would be comforting to my mother to have something tangible to make it seem real. She was close to her sister and visited ofter when they spent the winters in Florida in the 80's. My aunt died in 1990 and we lost contact with the rest of the family until my cousins wife died, at age 42 or so, in 2000. Anyone who can point me to a way to find some information would be so appreciated.

STILLSON, Kenneth W. Jr., 52, of Tampa, passed away September 6, 2004. He is preceded in death by his wife, Annette Stillson. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Babe and husband Kenneth; his expected grandbaby this month; and brothers, Donald and Robert Couillard. "Ken" loved his family, music, poker, Disney World and was an avid baseball fan. He was retired from the City of Tampa as a police officer and from the MacDonald Training Center as Vice President of Operations. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday at Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Diabetes Foundation.

sorry, I just realized this is the son, not who you are looking for :(

Ok, I'll stop crying long enough after reading that to thank you so much. I was actually closer to the son. He is one of my few cousins that are within 10 years of my age, and I spent some time with him when I would visit my parents in FL while I was in college. I was always in awe of him because he and Annette were the first people I ever met who loved Disney so much they went almost every weekend when they were younger.
I really appreciate everyone's help, I will print this and bring it to my mother when I see her this weekend.
Thanks again!
Patti
