My mom just bought me a breadmaker from a garage sale for my new home, problem is it did not come with a recipe book for the bread maker. The breadmaker is a Welbilt ABM-150R and I tried looking online and it says the company went out in 2001.

Can anyone help me get a copy of this recipe book for this breadmaker? Do I need a specific recipe, or can I just use any bread maker recipe? I ask this because I googled and read that with the Welbilt you have to add the yeast first and then the rest of the ingredients, and that the Welbilt requires about 3 tablespoons more water than the other breadmakers. I know with my mom's bread maker she adds the yeast last.

Thanks for any help.

Hmmm.... normally I would say use any bread machine recipe because they are pretty interchangeable. But the comments you made about when to put in the yeast and needing more water might make a difference. Sorry I can't be more help - have never used that particular machine.

both are equal in what I have to do.......I put in the measured water, then add the flour to it and make the little hole and put in the salt, sugar and dry milk and then yeast too......shut the door and press go........these are fairly the same in instructions......you could also try to do the breadmachine boxes that all you add is your water and they have the mix and the yeast already there........I love to make bread and during the summer it is a joy not to heat up the house.....good luck and have fun

oh yah just make sure that you measure everything precisely.......has to be accurate

Great, so I am not even going to worry about when to put the yeast in!!! I just know that the water and the yeast cannot mix!!! Thank you for your help.
