We are a family of 5 and we already purchased non park hopper 6 days tickets. However, we have since decided that 3 of us will go to a water park, and all five will go to disney quest, and we would like to try and mini golf. We did receive as part of our hotel package 2 free passes to the disney quest and 2 free passes to the mini golf, as long as we go before 4pm. so now I am trying to decide if we should upgrade our tickets to a water park and more. I'm having trouble crunching the numbers and understanding exactly what you get with the water park and more ticket. Can we upgrade only some of our tickets, like the 3 that are going to the water park, and not the other 2? I'm so confused!! also, if we wanted to add park hopper can we do that for only some of our family members, and not all 5? Thanks for your help, my brain is overloaded with Disney, but in a good way! ; )

WPF&M allows you 1 "fun" admission for every park day on your pass. So, a 6-day pass would also have 6 "fun" admissions when you add WPF&M to it.

The "fun" admissions can be used at the water parks, DQ, WWoS, Oak Trail Golf Course and the mini golf courses before 4 PM.

You can upgrade any or all of the tickets once you arrive at Disney. If you were to upgrade prior to your arrival, then everyone in the room would need to be upgraded to the same type of ticket.

The same is true for adding hopping. You can do it for any or all of your family members but only those people will be able to hop between parks.

If they're already giving you 2 admissions to DQ and mini golf, why not just pay OOP at the gate for those who want to visit the WP? I think it might be cheaper than adding WP to the ticket. The only uncertainty would be if they love the WP and want to return, they wouldn't be able to if bought at the gate. If you add WP to the ticket, they could still return another day.
JMHO but depending what time of year you're visiting, it's not always WP weather. Personally we like it to be at least 80 and very sunny, preferably 85. Sure we could tolerate it at 75 & overcast but when you get off one slide and wait in line for another, sometimes you're in the shade and it can feel chilly when you're wet.

For a 6 day adult ticket, it's $64 to add the WPF&M. 1 day WP ticket is $58 and 1 day DQ is around 40ish (you may be able to buy it ahead of time slightly cheaper).

So if 3 going to the water parks should add the WPF&M. The other 2 can use the vouchers for 1 DQ and 1 mini golf.

If the 3 only goes to the WP 1 day, DQ 1 day, and 1 mini golf, you'll have 3 more leftover. Unless the 2 ppl want to go to DQ 2 additional times after using the voucher, it's not worth adding the WPF&M. Mini golf is pretty cheap, I believe.

You need to decide what you are going to do first.

A slight change in plans may result in the best ticket being something radically different.

If you already bought and already used a single separate water park (or Disney Quest) ticket, you can apply the spent ticket towards water park fun on your theme park ticket.

If you added water park fun, then adding hopping later will cost roughly $30. If you added the hopping first, then adding water park fun would cost roughly $30. No change is returned if you applied a spent water park ticket.
