Need help finding a suit or suit jacket for my boys.

it needs to be in stock in a retail store so I can try it on them before buying. I saw one I like at Sears online but it is not carried in stores. I also don't want to spend a lot since it will be used for this one wedding only. Does TJ Maxx have boys suits?

Do you have a Kohl's nearby? They usually have boys' suits and suit separates in stock. Boscov's also carries a small amount of boys' jackets in stock.

Sometimes TJMaxx and Marshall's have suits/jackets. I know for sure I've seen them in the spring for Easter. I'd also check JCPenney.

Another option is to find a free shipping code for someplace that does have them online, like Sears, where you could return to the store. Order a couple of sizes and then return what doesn't fit. Won't cost you extra if you have free shipping. Nor to ship back.

And, as strange as it may sound, I'd post on Craig's list. Often people buy suits for boys for one specific occasion, worn once and then sits in the closet. I needed a tux for my 2 year old and was able to get one very, very inexpensively this way. You could also try posting a 'want' on Freecycle, I'm pretty sure there's one up there. Can't hurt!

You could also try Goodwill. I have seen some nice boys suits there that look pretty new.

Do you have a Burlington Coat Factory nearby? I got all my sons Communion suits there, as well as my oldest son's tux shirt, tie and vest. The kids suits I think I paid maybe $50 for, actually, probably $40 now that I think about it...they had a good variety of colors and styles and shirts, shoes etc. as well.

Sometimes Mashalls carries them if you have one near you. Check ebay maybe.

I got really lucky and found some at JCP for $20 each last year. It was a 4 pc. set with pants, shirt, jacket and tie! They were on sale, I believe they were normally $40ish. Surprisingly nice quality, too.

Try savers. I just got myself a suit jacket ( to use as a riding coat) for $4.99 they had a ton of boys suits also. I am going back to buy on for my son's prince charming costume..

Try Walmart too! They have a boy's jacket (sizes 4-18) on their website. If stores near you don't have them in stock they do offer free site to store shipping. If they don't work you can return them right there at the store.

A few days ago the Kohls near me had quite a few for 75% off. I saw black and navy blue... there may have been more, I didn't look too closely as I didn't need any.

Just in Dillards last week for the same reason and got a size seven double breasted navy blazer with gold bottons on sale for $11. You can sometimes get great deals at dept. stores.

When my FIL passed away several years I needed to get the kids suits. We hit Goodwill and got them all suits for under $10. each. Worth checking out. And the Salvation Army opened their new place too down past Target. Not quite as dumpy as the one downtown.
I would check those two places out first.

Unless the boys are actually IN the wedding, I think a shirt, tie and khakis or dark dress pants are perfectly acceptable, but that's just my opinion... They're definitely going to want to take it off at the reception, and I hate to spend money on a one-hour outfit, KWIM?

Have you tried more than one Sears? I was in ours recently and they had a pretty good selection of jackets.

What size do you need?

I'm not sure, that's why they need to try them on. Both boys are between sizes now 4/5 and 7/8. $'s are too short but some 5's are too big on the waist. 7's are too short but some 8's are way too big. We have khaki's and even a shirt if I can get the stains out of them from my sisters wedding and tie but no jacket and Gramma said they need a jacket. Both girls are wearing prom formals and neither of them are in the wedding either. Just a formal wedding. heck, I still need to find something to wear that night. I need to look good and to be able to move since I am photographing it as well as attending. And a nice black dress is not allowed since Gramma says black to a wedding is bad luck. Yes, Gramma is MOB. I have 3 weeks to find something!
