I certainly cannot recommend Bistro anymore based on our dinner this week. We had an 8:30 pm reservation. When we went upstairs, we found the place was jam-packed. The noise level was unbelievable -- worse than Chef Mickey's by far. I told the waiter the only thing missing was Pluto visiting the tables.
There were families with young children everywhere -- including one mother with three small children. She could not begin to keep them even remotely quiet or occupied. And, she didn't leave with them until nearly 10 pm. They were screaming and crying. Other children nearer to us were climbing on chairs and running around. At another table one sister was pulling the other sister's hair, making her yelp. Parents everywhere did nothing. Neither did the restaurant staff.
Anyone who thinks Bistro is small, intimate, romantic and quiet hasn't been there lately! Now that they permit children to order off the kids menu from downstairs, the place is not worth the price. The place was incredibly busy even though it was not an EMH evening at Epcot. We ended up with entrees that seemed like the last ones the kitchen had, having already sent most everything out to tables. They ran out of potatos for my steak and substituted gnocchi. Since my steak was obviously not the nicest looking of cuts, they smothered it in brown gravy in an attempt to hide it.
For some reason that just sounds different than the way you intended it to be.
I agree though, I love Tutto Italia; a bit on the expensive side, but the food was very good, the atmosphere is great, and the service was spectacular.
Definitely Bistro! It is probably the second best restaurant (after V&A) in all of WDW for both food and service. And the French waiters will fawn over her and make her feel wonderful.
Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions I think I have decided to go with Bistro. I have always wanted to eat here but as we usually go with the entire family (two children under 10) I tend to accomodate them with our eating choices I want this trip with just my oldest DD to be very special as next year she will be a Senior and then off to college

Ok....not that I don't like LeCellier (it is actually one of our favorites) but I am looking for another option of a very good dinner for our Epcot day. It will be myself and my 17 y/o DD. I am planning a surprise trip for just her and I next year and I am wanting to try "better" dining options than we get to have when we go as a family Below are the other place that I have decided on while we are there:
We went to Rose and Crown. I was not looking forward to the food, but was lokoing forward to a great view of Illuminations. I got a big surprise when I started eating! The food was bloody delicious!!!!!! The have a new item on the menu, Filet of Beef. Delicious!
