Need help finding a good dinner at Epcot - not LeCellier

Ok....not that I don't like LeCellier (it is actually one of our favorites) but I am looking for another option of a very good dinner for our Epcot day. It will be myself and my 17 y/o DD. I am planning a surprise trip for just her and I next year and I am wanting to try "better" dining options than we get to have when we go as a family Below are the other place that I have decided on while we are there:

We like Teppan Edo although if you are uncomfortable sitting with other people this might not for you.
Also we have enjoyed Chefs de France the food is good and the atmospher is cool.

Bistro de Paris upstairs in France is one of the top restaurants in WDW. Not on the dining plan, it doesn't have a children's menu. The restaurant is small, intimate and formal. The food is very good and the service has always been excellent.

We love this restaurant at Epcot. The food was great and if you eat later at night you can get private viewing (only for people eating at the restaurant) for illuminations!

Rose & Crown or Restaurant Marrakesh. The other Epcot restaurants aren't that unique to what most people can get locally other than France, and we weren't that thrilled by our lunch at Les Chefs. It's good, but we like other places (like Le Cellier) much better.

I'd also recommend Garden Grill - we ate so much and loved the bread. Of course, we love being able to interact with Chip and Dale, too.

I'll have to say Rose & Crown. It's one of the few left where you can still get a decent meal.

If cost is not an issue, you could take the boat from the International Gateway to the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club or Shula's at the Dolphin.

I wouldn't say that it is essentially couples. It is not a V&A type of dining experience. The fact that they do not have a children's menu does deter some folks, but it is within the confines of a park, so they can only take the "formality" so far. Shorts and tee shirts will be in plain view. No problem dining with a 17 year old.

we just got back last week for wdw and ate at teppon edo for the first time. we thought it was one of our best meals there and would recommend this for anyone there. the chef was entertaining and the food was great.

What 17 yr DD wouldn't love a handsome waiter with an accent at Tutto Italia or Chefs de France (or Bistro de Paris for better quality - and higher price)?

I vote for Chefs de France. The setting is elegant and the food is excellent. We usually eat there once or twice per trip.

Thanks! R&C was another one I was looking at but was worried about the food just being ok, but from your post and others it sounds like the quality of the food is really good.

Lunch at R&C is good but rather plain, but dinner is excellent. I enjoy both experiences but dinner for Illuminations is a total experience. But if you pick a cuisine you like at World Showcase, you can't go wrong.

Yachtsmen Steakhouse. Just a short walk from EPCOT. Usually our celebration restauant. But I also agree about the handsome waiters at Tutto Italia. Oh yea, the food is good too!

There's a lot of good choices in World Showcase. But my vote would have to go towards Chefs de France. The restaurant itself is very nice and everyone really enjoyed the food.

Hi #1eeyoregirl!

You have already received so many good suggestions, and I wanted to second the recommendations for either Chef's de France or Bistro de Paris.

Both Chef's and Bistro have interesting menus and outstanding food. We always enjoy Chef's with our children (ages pre-school to pre-teen.) But for adults and older teens, Bistro would be so nice for a special dinner. I recommended Bistro to my parents, aunt and uncle for their WDW trip earlier this month, and they absolutely loved it. They mentioned seeing a couple with several teenage girls really enjoying their meals at Bistro, and commented that it's a great option for families with teens and/or young adults. Both my family and the family with teens had later ADRs, so they all enjoyed a quiet and beautiful walk through the Epcot after closing. My mom reports that it was absolutely magical!
