So, we leave in 47 days for our trip (7/19-7/27) and I've been going over finalizing all my plans. We (myself, DH, DS-11, & DD-8) are staying at BW in Disney Springs for 2 nights (7/18-7/20) then the rest of our days we are staying offsite. We have 7 days (1 park/day) tickets and currently this is what I have scheduled:

7/19 - HS (EMH - staying at BW Disney Springs)
7/20 - HS (EMH - BW Disney Springs)
7/21 - Epcot
7/22 - MK (doing the Early morning magic)
7/23 - Rest Day
7/24 - AK
7/25 - Epcot
7/26 - MK

I'm rethinking spending 1 day at HS and 2 days at AK instead. With Toy Story Land opening, would you plan for 1 day or 2 days at Hollywood Studios? We want to keep MK (2 days) and Epcot (2 days). We haven't been to AK since Pandora opened, so I'm thinking that AK will be nice to spend 2 days in instead of 1, since I was not able to get a FP for FOP. I was able to obtain a FP for the Slinky Dog ride for both days listed above, so that's not an issue. If I changed AK to 2 days, what other day would be good to go?

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks in Advance.

No advice on which HS day to drop but personally I felt AK was very much a 2 day park. We did one day RD to 5ish and were zonked when we left plus had to skip a number of things.

I feel that since we only have 1 day tickets (no hoppers) that it would be "wiser" to spend an extra day at AK instead of HS. We also like to leave mid-day for swimming/lunch/etc. so spending 2 days at AK seems ideal. So I will probably switch one of the HS days for another AK day.... Thanks!

it depends on how many shows at HS you plan on seeing and if you want fp's for two of three toy story rides.

Personally, I had the same choice and went with two AK days over two HS days. Two FPs for FOP was more intriguing to me than getting a Slinky Dog and Toy Story Mania or even two Slinky Dog.

Have you booked fastpasses yet? Thats also a bit of a deciding factor

We’re going the week before you. We’re doing a whole day at AK (plus an evening) and 2 AMs at DHS (just for rides) and an evening. We like to hop :)

IMHO-- switch 7/19 to AK for a second day there. A huge factor for me is the extended hours at HS after the opening of Toy Story land. On 7/20, if you are staying onsite, the hours are 7AM to 12:30AM that day!!! If you could rally your troops, you could potentially have almost 2 park days in 1 even with your mid-day break. More than enough time for HS.

Thanks for all the feedback. We decided to do 2 days at AK instead of HS.
