I called Disney today and felt really lucky that I was able to get most of my first choice for ADR's reserved. Given that we are going in April, and all my children wanted to do was go to character meals, I felt very lucky that I was able to get all their meal wants reserved, but I still have some blanks that I need to fill in. Here is what I have reserved so far, and I will list what I have blank:

Monday April 5th Magic Kingdom

Breakfast: Won't be arriving till lunch time so don't need breakfast
Lunch:
Dinner:Character meal at Crystal Palace

Tuesday April 6th Epcot

Breakfast: Lilo and Stitch Breakfast
Lunch: Coral Reef
Dinner: Chip and Dale Dinner

Wensday April 7th Animal Kingdom
Breakfast: Donald Safari Breakfast
Lunch:
Dinner:

Thursday April 8th Hollywood Studios

Breakfast: Beach Club Cape May
Lunch:
Dinner:

Friday April 9th Magic Kingdom (explore what we didn't get to Monday)

Breakfast: Chef Mickey's
Lunch:
Dinner: Possibly CRT they told me that they will have a spot open for us

Does anyone have any suggestions to fill in the Lunch and Dinners that I have blanks for. The meals will have to be according to the Park that we are at. I already have ADR's for these. Also is it true that Animal Kingdom closes at 7pm? I was thinking if this was the case, then I would purchase Disney Quest tickets and we could go do that after leaving AK and eat dinner at DTD. If we do this would you reccommend Planet Hollywood or Wolfgang Puck?

May I say that honestly if those breakfasts are later in the morning you can skip lunch and do an early dinner. If you're just looking to try a bunch of places that's fine, but it's not need to be full through the day.:)

Also I don't know what the CM meant by they have a spot for you-but if you don't have an actual ressie with a confirmation number-don't count on getting into CRT.

Just a heads up:goodvibes

All of our breakfast's are between 7:15am and 8:25am. My kids are early risers so the early times worked for us.

word of advice...you will be so stuffed eating 3 TS meals a day! we LOVE to eat and that is to much for us. we do an early lunch or late breakfast and then a 2 TS meal for dinner and are still stuffed. it will take 1-1.5 hours to eat every meal so thats 4-5 hours a day of just eating. A lot of ppl with kids don't like to spend that much time eating and not in the park, as the kids get bored, etc.

my faorite places are
coral reef
GF cafe
narcoossees
citricos
Whispering canyon cafe

that was one thing that I was considering, but the deluxe worked better to achieve the wants. I am almost debating on filling up most of the holes with quick service meals. Disney said I could do this. I just don't know which places are good.

I think you fine eating three meals a day,we are doing the same thing. I can not speak for you,but I cant Imagin any one stuffing them selfs three times a day and still be able to walk:rotfl2:. You eat what you can,and Its a nice break from running around the park.We like to experice the whole trip and thats Including the restraunts. If your a family thats on the go through out the day,yes I agre with the other posters that the TS meals will diffently slow you down. But like us the eating part of the Disney experince,Its really what you want to get out of It. Sorry I dont know If you had this already but for your downtown trip maybe T-rex or raiforest cafe? they also have a Rainforest cafe at AK. Have a blast and please let us know what you thought of the restraunts:goodvibes

That's what I was trying to say-just didn't do a good job at it:laughing:

It's a lot of food on the deluxe plan. Even with a breakfast and dinner alone-we found ourselves really full.

As far as places to eat with 7 year olds-if they good with fancier restaurants I second Citricos or maybe even Cali Grill if you can't get into CRT. Plan to be there when the fireworks go off-its great:thumbsup2

For the day you're at Hollywood studios what about the Sci-fi? It's lots of fun and approachable with burgers and shakes which kids always love.

The day you're at Animal Kingdom what about catching dinner at Animal Kingdom Lodge? Boma is fun and Sanaa is great too.

But honestly I would definitely look into either trying some 2 credit meals to burn up those credits or downgrading to the regular plan or you might find it to be too much and a waste.

Good Luck and have a great vacation:)

We figured that it would probably be alot of food. My husband and I talked and we are going to eat what we can, and probably end up ordering cakes or something that can be saved for later, for dessert. My kids get cranky when they have to walk alot, so the sit down meals are going to be a life saver for us because it will give them time to sit and rest while eating, therefore causing less tantrums from walking so long. This is going to help us alot.

yes, you can use a TS meal for quick service, but you wont be maxamizing the money you are paying. If you look in my siggy I have two dining reviews form the plan, one deluxe plan that may help. also, you have two snacks a day as well.we used those in the mid day to hold us over till dinner (since we generally tired to eat twice a day) if you must do 3 meals a day, I would do a reeaallyy early breakfast, mid day lunch and 7:30 or later dinner. esp. since you get appetizer, entree, and dessert. don't get me wrong I LOVE the deluxe dining plan if it's done right. We ahve done it 3 times and thing we have "figured it out" to meet our personal needs.
also, character buffets, well anything of set price, is not a good a "deal" on the DP as a regular menu, so maybe consider doing the regular plan and then just paying OOP for the cheaper meal of the day and then doing your 1 TS a day and 1 QS a day on the reg plan? hope theatmakes sense. we have thrown around the idea of doing that sometime. good luck!

Ohana's is great for dinner, the food is amazing and the view is great. It is one of my favorite restaurants in disney and there are activities for kids.

Cape May Cafe is another favorite in my family. It's just a simple buffett but we have always found the food to be better then other places (this may sound crazy).

Whispering Canyon Cafe is fun with kids.

I dont have any little ones any more,my little one Is going to be 17:scared1:.
But this Is what we are going to do as well. I think the (early moprining Is best,we are doing the earlyest times as possiple) beigigng with Breakfast, weather Its a TS or QS
Is great way to get them all together and plan for the day, what the most excitening thing your looking forward to do, to what Ideas you all have.
The Mid day/lunch time,Is a great time to take abreak,Its a good excuse to your kids to take a break:sad2: with out actually telling them to take a break. Its also great to go over what you have done that morining and maybe any changes that you want to do for the afternoon?.
Evenning/Dinnier time well thats the time to relax and enjo the moment with you and the Family and exchange all your experices maybe look forward to the rest of the night.
Basicly Its a time to reflect with your Family to,not just eat.We are caught up so much on what where doing, where we are going while we are at the Park we dont stop and reflect that we are on vacation and time away to spend with the Family and to get closer to one another. Just the other day I asked my DS If he like stoping and eating at all the diffrent places?,and he Is not by all meens a big eater and he sad that he really enjoy It.We make It part of the Disney experince, plan It like we are planing our way around the parks.Yes Its down time from the park, and we do miss some, but we lose In park time we gain In personal time:goodvibes
