Need help Disneyland VETS!!!

Disney Land, The San Diego Zoo, AND Universal Studios. One day for each.
I just looked it up. It includes a pass to Universal, Seaworld, your choice of the San Diego Zoo or the Wild Animal Park and 3 day hopper to DL. :thumbsup2

As a WDW vet, here is my take on it. When I go to WDW for a week, I never leave the property. WDW takes me to the resort from the airport on Magical Express; buses, boats and monorails me around while I am there; and then returns me to the airport. I am completely immersed. I never see anything in Florida other than WDW. There is just too much to do there, and it is too spread out. We never have time for anything else and we never even rent a car. If you have never been to DL before, you will be absolutely shocked at how close together everything is there. We can go to DL for 2-3 days, still get our Disney fix, yet also have time to explore other things in Southern California.
Good thoughts!

Thanks for the responses so far.

I have another question. Are their enough rides for a 3yo and a 1yo at DLR? I know this may be a stupid question, but it needs to be asked.

I've also always been intrigued in visiting the park that Walt built, plus a chance to visit the state of California makes this possible trip a no brainer to me.

As other posters have already stated, yes! They can ride anything w/o a height requirement, which is a lot! Your 3 year old might be tall enough to get on Matterhorn and Gadget's Go Coaster (35" requirement). :goodvibes

Check out allears.net and click on the DL tab at the top. As a WDW vet, I'm sure you've been to this website a ton!:thumbsup2

Height requirments will be listed and I highly suggest you measure your 3 yr old before going.

My son was 3 1/2 on his 1st trip and was able to ride quite a bit. All the kid rides (of course) plus Big Thunder, Splash, etc.

Be careful though....my son was right at the height requirement (42 in I think) and one CM let him on Big Thunder and then the next day, a new CM told him no. He was crushed! And rightly so, didn't understand why he got to go on it yesterday but not that day! Poor guy!

So I would say that if your kiddo is close to the height req. then maybe take a pass on it and do it next time? It wasn't worth the crying and upset feelings that my son went through and had I known this would happen, I would have just told him he wasn't tall enough the 1st time around.

However, my 3 year old LOVED these rides! So if your little one is tall enough and a bit of a daredevil...I'm sure they will enjoy the faster, more "grown up" rides!

That's a good suggestion. BTMRR is actually 40", as well as Splash and Space Mt. :goodvibes

LOL...that explains it. He was 39-40 inches when I measured him at home before our trip, without shoes on. Then of course you have to add on the shoe height. No stilettos for him though, just regular old tennis shoes!

However, when he was measured by the CM's, particularly at Splash Mtn., they measured on uneven ground. So it dipped a bit and the 1st time, he didn't make the cut. I asked the CM if he could please measure him on a more flat surface and they did- he was tall enough! I only pushed it because I had measured him before and KNEW he was tall enough! This is why I recommend you measure before you go.

The same thing happened at Big Thunder and like I said previously, one day that CM let him go on (he was tall enough after all) but the next day, no amount of pleading on my part would convince the CM that he was indeed tall enough.

Bottom line, it's the CM's job to insure the safety of all their guests. They have the final say and even if you know your child is tall enough- if the CM says it's a no-go, then it's a no-go.

But knowing before you go is half the battle! And be careful of the hilly, uneven concrete at Splash Mtn! Doesn't seem fair to me that they measure on a downward slope!:rolleyes1
