Need help deciding on resort for 3 adults

Good morning! I am planning a trip in May of 2018 for 12 nights and trying to figure out what resort to choose. It's going to be myself and parents. Am thinking of doing Contemporary, Beach Club, a family suite at AOA or the Polynesian. If it's anything other than the family suite we'd get two rooms. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Wanting to surprise my mom who's never stayed on property!

I'd take AoA off the list, unless you really want the Disney cartoon theming. The other resorts you mention are very close to theme parks, and have easy access to multiple restaurants and entertainment, and for an adults-only trip those are advantages that AoA doesn't have.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the deluxes you mention. Beach Club is within walking distance of Epcot and HS, has boat transportation to both parks, and in that Boardwalk area, you have an impressive variety of restaurants and entertainment just steps away.

The Contemporary and Poly are both on the monorail, so again, an easy trip to MK or Epcot and multiple resorts with some of WDW's best restaurants. There are also the Bay Lake recreational options, if you like boating, water skiing, etc.

I think it's going to come down to which theming you prefer, and which theme park you prefer to be close to.

You may want to look at getting a one bedroom DVC room, it has a private bedroom with a split bathroom and a queen sleeper in the living room. It also comes with a small full kitchen and washer/dryer if that matters. You could look at BLT, BWV, BCV, etc.

With 12 nights, you might want to consider a split stay (6 nights at one resort and 6 nights in another). If you did the split, I would recommend one MK resort (in your case, I would probably go with Poly for a first onsite stay) and one EP resort (BC, for the reasons Lynne M mentions) I, too, would take AoA off of the list. It just won't compare to the deluxe resorts you have listed.

The 1-bedrooms that NJ Goofy mentions are also a great suggestion, though one person would be sleeping on a pull-out bed. For us, having a washer/dryer in our room, especially on longer trips, comes in really handy! If you were to do a 1-bedroom, I would consider BLT, WLV, BCV or BWV.
