I get to pick the last restaurant for our October trip. We want to stay in the Boardwalk area, so I've narrowed it down to:

Flying Fish
Spoodles
Yachtsman
Shula's
BlueZoo

I've previously eaten at Flying Fish (2x) and Yachtsman, but my BF hasn't ever eaten at any of these restaurants. I don't know now if we'll be in a steak mood then (how could I?) so I was deliberating making 2 PS's for that night, 1 at Yachtsman or Shula's and 1 at one of the other restaurants, and we could cancel when we decided.

So please, help me decide on which restaurant(s) to choose! I really am very decisive on where I want to go, but for some reason (I think it's WDW withdrawal!) I can't determine which to choose this time! Not to mention my first choice, Boma's, got vetoed.

Thanks! ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

Hmmm . . . That's a hard one. Flying Fish and Spoodles are two of our very favorite restaruants on Disney property. My husband won't even agree to go with me anymore unless I promise him dinner at Spoodles. :p But I'm dying to try Blue Zoo, too. I'm not a big steak fan, so I'd probably go with one of those three. Probably Blue Zoo, just because it's newest. Sorry, I know I wasn't much help.

Oh, and we love Boma, too. But not as much as Flying Fish and Spoodles! Plus, you just can't beat the Boardwalk area for a fun dinner. I would suggest getting over to JellyRolls after dinner if you can. It's quickly becoming one our favorite spots in all of Disney World. What fun!

We're trying Shula's for the first time this fall. Ate at both Yachtsman Steak House and Flying Fish before. We weren't as impressed with FF, but everyone raves about it, so we just might have had an off night. I don't eat steak, but can always find wonderful things to eat at YS and other steak places (as long as you like seafood!). I agree with the above poster that Boardwalk would probably be the place to go. So much going on, and very romantic in the evening!!

have fun!

I highly recommend Spoodles. We ate there twice last time we were at DW and everything was good including the drinks. The servers were very friendly as well.

In truth, I haven't tried any but after reading the reviews on this board and checking out the menu, I'm trying Spoodles on my next trip.

Can't speak to the Shula's at Disney, but last month ate at the Shula's in Indianapolis at the Westin downtown.

I will tell you that it eclipsed Morton's and Ruth's Chris in my book, and that's saying something. It was a carnivore's dream.

As an aside, I ordered creme brulee for dessert. My Lord. That thing was served in a plate the size of a frisbee. You could feed a family of four with that monster.

Spoodles is pretty good, but not outstanding. Breakfast there was better than dinner when we went.

Spoodles is our favorite restaurant on the Disney property. We have had there Rigatoni pasta, Moroccan Spiced Tuna & Grilled Salmon and they were all excellent. The Grilled salmon was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. There Flatbreads are excellent too. We always have to eat at Spoodles at least once on every trip.

If your staying around the Boardwalk area you should try Fresh at the Dolphin resort for breakfast, it is by far the best breakfast we have had at WDW.

thanks everyone

Ron from Michigan: I have eaten at Fresh on a prior trip, and did enjoy it very much, however, my BF doesn't eat a big breakfast (bagel or muffin at most) so I don't know that it would be worth it on a trip with him. But I do agree that it was a very good breakfast spot.

I think I may make a Shula's reservation and a PS for Spoodles and cancel one when we get there and know a bit more of what we're in the mood for. Spoodles has definitely piqued my interest, but at the same time I had one of the best meals I've ever had at WDW the last time I ate at Flying Fish (which amazes me b/c the time before that I had eaten there, I wasn't impressed at all, off night maybe?) I'm also kinda interested in BlueZoo, primarily b/c it's a Todd English restaurant...

As of right now, I'm just trying to get all of my F&WF stuff in order and prepare for what I'm going to encounter tomorrow morning!

I would stay on the Boardwalk and eat at the Flying Fish or Spoodles. I would recommend going to Jellyrolls after dinner.
