I'm going on my first-ever-solo trip in January and have booked the PPH. However, I'm having second thoughts on my choice.

I already am having feelings of guilt on spending so much money on just ME, and I could save about $340 by staying off property at the Dessert Inn and Suites.

I know it is so much more magical to stay on property. But, to get all the facts out there, we just recently stayed (the family trip) at the GCH. I've also got a extended family girls only trip in Feb and we're staying at the PPH.

(for the record, I don't normally travel to DL more than once a year. This year is a huge anomaly.)

Because I am coming in the afternoon on Sunday, and am taking the Lights, Camera, Magic tour on Tuesday, and leaving on Wednesday, I can't take advantage of MM provided by staying on sight.

The biggest benefit to staying at PPH (besides the ambiance) is the shorter walk to GCH to start the tour. (kind of wimpy feet, but just kind of)

So, I'm thinking of switching, but asking you all for your input as too what I should be considering that I may have left out.

Thanx so much for your opinions

In your case, I'd stay off-site and pocket the savings! That's a lot of savings, and as you said, you won't be able to take advantage of the Magic Morning perks anyway. I have stayed in hotels both solo and with friends or family, and when I stay with someone else, I try to stay on-site or at least at a nicer place. When it's just me, heck I could sleep just about anywhere.

It's not really that far from DI&S to GCH. Just cut through the esplanade and into GCH through Downtown Disney. Plus the walk into Disneyland from DI&S will actually be faster than from PPH.

Since you will be staying at the PPH in Feb and this is a solo trip I would stay at the DI&S. I like staying at the DI&S, I find it to be clean and the staff to be very nice. Its always nice to stay onsite but I would save the money.

ok, decision made. I cancelled my reservation at PPH  cause I'm sure it was the right thing to do (maybe, probably)

thanx for your input.

if anyone else has extremely valuable input as to why I should not have changed plans......keep it to yourself:lmao: (ok, just don't discuss it in front of me)

Lol!!! If it were your first trip to DL, or if you didn't think you'd be able to again for several years, I would have seen the argument for PPH, but you were just at GCH and will be at PPH is two months anyway, so save that cash for something fun!!!!

Thank you so much for affirming me on such an important topic. :flower3: (hee hee)
