My husband, two grown "kids" and I are currently booked into a 2 queen room at RPR from Oct 5 to Oct 8 and a family suite at Surfside from Oct 8 to Oct 10. We'll still have EP for the parks on the 8th and the last day will be Volcano Bay. I'm considering changing the last 2 nights to 2 rooms at Cabana Bay instead (not the family suite as no one wants to sleep on the pull out bed). The 2 rooms will cost about double the family suite at Surfside. I adore Cabana Bay and love being able to walk to the parks and to VB. The only thing I love about Surfside is the price. I don't like the pool and having to shuttle to VB and the parks and go through the security line at City Walk. We've been spoiled by RPR and CBR. Argggghhhh....what would you do?

I love CB too would a family suite there be enough room for your family ?

Big enough yes, but after a week of sharing beds, we were looking forward to mostly having beds to ourselves for the last 2 nights. No one wants to sleep on the pull out in CB suite so we'd need 2 rooms. I'm just debating whether being at CB is worth an extra $200+ per night. The family has vetoed a standard 2 queen room for the last 2 nights so it's either 2 rooms at CBR or suite at surfside.

We love CBBR & the key point for me is you're doing VB & you can't beat access to VB from CBBR. I definitely get the sense choosing CBBR would be a better fit/much more pleasant last few days of your vacation all the way around for your family, so personally, I'd splurge & stay where I & my family really want to stay 👍!

I’d pick CB! Or maybe try Aventura if it’s cheaper. It also has the walkway to Volcano Bay and you can walk to the parks I understand it’s only a few minutes longer than the walk from RP.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in. Circumstances have made the decision for me. We'll be staying with Surfside to keep costs down. My daughter and I are planning to go overseas next April and any savings will help fund that trip. Bon voyage, everyone!

I've heard really good things about Surfside including great busses & food court - have a wonderful time :)!

Have fun! We really enjoyed the 2 bedroom suite at Dockside which I’m sure is basically the same at Surfside. It was nice having the separate bedroom (and three real queen beds). In the room, it had the feels of a moderate or above category instead of ‘value’. We thought the cost was amazing for what we got. We also apparently lucked out and didn’t have noise issues but we had asked for a high floor… which also gave us amazing views.
