Need help convincing....

We are looking at the week before Thanksgiving, so far looks pretty open that week, but do plan on booking asap!

I don't know why, but I was thinking you had originally said Thanksgiving. I should have checked before posting my earlier comment. But sbnewhampshire1 is right... Book now. Only one night deposit required and it's fully refundable up to a week before. Hmm... Or is it a couple of days before? Either way, I like having my Disney vacation booked and knowing I have it to look forward to :thumbsup2

Yay! You will love the Fort!

Hey MushLRC! My daughter is sitting here asking when we are going back again, so I'm starting to think about planning. I've had the itch for a few months already, but I've been stifling the urge. ;)

These posts seem to have that effect. I booked another stay, for a time we hadn't intended to go, due to posts here on the Fort forum. I miss it SO MUCH!

Just got back from our first Wilderness Campground Stay in 12 trips to Disney... 9 perfect day's in the 700 loop... 6 camp sight's from the Comfort station.. It was an incredible stay.. The campground is wonderful..Just getting together all of the parts for my Mickey Lampost.. Great time.. WE will be back

We have stayed at several resorts before our first stay at the fort and we will never stay anywhere but the fort now! We just got back this past Sunday and I just got off the phone with DW 30 minutes ago to book a April 8th-11th trip and we are going 9 days in September! You better get annual passes cause you will be hooked and will be planning your next visit before you get home from that first stay at the fort!! Fort Wilderness is probably one of if not the nicest campgrounds you can stay at! Great for kids I have 3 and they love it! Get AAA membership for discounts on campsites!

Hello all! I am a frequent lurker, occasional poster. We are a family of 5, have been to Disney six times over the past 9 years. We have taken a break the past couple of years and are ready to go back this November!

We have always stayed at a timeshare unit my in-laws let us use off property. Our dream has always been to stay on property, but we just can afford it. This year I am trying to convince DH that we can stay at the campground! We would drive our pop up down and stay in it. I am having a hard time convincing him that he would be comfortable though. He says he is tired at the end of the day, wants a shower and a comfy bed. Help me out... are the showers that bad just because it's a campground? Have any of you every stayed in a pop up for the week you were at Disney? was it miserable?? It looks like there is electric and water at all the sites from the pictures i can see, is that right? Sorry to ask what I am sure are obvious questions! Not new to camping at all, but would be new to camping at Disney!! Yeah!!!!

All thoughts are appreciated... thank you! I would love to be able to stay on property and have all those "perks!"

The washrooms and showers are NOTHING like you typical campground washrooms and showers. We did 3 days in ours at FW in 08 before moving to a resort room. I will say it was at the end of a previous 3 weeks of camping and we were a bit over the whole camping thing. Now if it had been the start of the trip I am sure we would have been perfect.
