My son is at Disney World for 5 days on a school trip. We sent him with several small forms of money and a larger visa gift card. he has lost the visa gift card!!!! That leaves him with barely enough money to eat!!! How can I get money to him???
Is there any way to add money to Disney gift cards?

Most of the Disney gift cards are reloadable, but by taking those to the store or guest services. I have not been able to reload them by calling the phone number on the gift card.

With most school trips, they have usually provided us with an emergency contact number, and school contact number on the forms. You may want to contact that person to inform of your situation so they can assist your child.

Feeling your pain right now, I would also check with the resort, calling them directly, to see if they could place you in contact with the group leader perhaps or offer some assistance in any ideas.

I wish you all the best. Children are resilient and can weather the worst of situations. Hopefully, you'll find a solution.

Did you notify who you bought the visa from they should be able to overnight a new one.

Can he charge back to the room and you can pay the hotel by calling and making a payment?

Since he has enough for his meals, I'd tell him to suck it up. Being broke is a consequence of losing the card.

But then again, my daughter is constantly complaining about my "suck it up and deal with it" parenting style....

:rolleyes1

I have to agree with above poster. If he's old enough to go on a school trip, he's old enough to be responsible. Possibly, he got flustered when he couldn't find the card and thought he lost it, but then found it. At any rate, good lesson learned.

Guys, I think they're back home already
