We are heading on our first Disney vacation March. It will be me, DH, DD15 and DD12. We are doing the QS plan , mostly because we don't want to be tied down to times and places to be. I would like to plan one TS meal though. I will take what is available as far as times, but would prefer Dinner. Where would you eat if you were only doing one TS meal?

For a first time trip, I'd do Chef Mickey's hands down. It's the best way to get to see Mickey and the fab 5 without having to stand in lines. For some people, Disney isn't Disney until they have seen the mouse. ;)

We are doing the same as you this trip. We decided our one restaurant would be Ohana. :worship: Our daughter loves it for the coconut races and noodles. I love it because eating there gives me an excuse to visit the poly. The meal is great and the bread pudding is to die for.

Y'all are going to have a GREAT time!!! Remember not to stress too much about getting the right dinner place, any place you choose will wind up being fantastic!

Saying that, I'd definately go for Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace. Both are buffets for hungry teenagers. CM has Mickey and the Gang. Crystal Palace has Winnie the Pooh characters (still fun, even if the kids are over Pooh age).

If you're not interested in characters at all, a really fun place to eat is Biergarten in Epcot's Germany pavillion. They have a buffet with German and American foods. The oom-pah band plays. It's a great experience!

Y'all have a magical trip!!!!

I think it would depend on what kind of food your family enjoys. For us a trip to the World would not be complete without enjoying a dinner at Epcot in the World Showcase. There is something incredibly magical about WS at night. Some of our favorites are Tutto in Italy, Teppan Edo in Japan, San Angel in Mexico or LeCellier in Canada.
:)

I would suggest if you want a character meal go to Chef Mickey, its also fun to just to experience The Contempory.Non character i would say Rose and Crown or Le Cellier at EPCOT! Have fun deciding.

We have eaten at several restaurants in WDW and it depends on what you are looking for your family. If you want a Disney Experience then Checf Mickey's (characters), however, we ate at Jiko's and even though it's expensive -WOW! Since you are going with older children they may appreciate it more.

The filet migon with macarroni and cheese was worth every penny!

Le Cellier, 'Ohana, Raglan Road, or Boma.

Technically I haven't been to Boma, but heard great things and we are going there next trip.

If you go to Raglan Road, get a reservation after 8PM so you can hear the band. Assuming you like Irish music :)

I haven't eaten there but based on the ages of your kids I would say O'hana. CM may be too "little kid" for teens but that also depends on your teens. It really all depends on what you think your kids would be interested in.

Good luck in deciding. I was going to do QSDP on our last trip but couldn't pick one TS and went for DDP. :)

I would do either Ohana or Le Cellier :)

I would agree with both of these but you will have an almost impossible job of getting an ADR for either in March.

Crystal Palace is always good for variety and has the added bonus of Pooh and Friends as well as being at MK. If you want it though, book it NOW.

Another good choice is Kona Cafe which is a bit easier to book and is a good excuse to visit the Polynesian resort. Easy to get to from either MK or Epcot as well.

My vote would go to Biergarten, Kona or 50's Prime Time. My kids are 18 and up but those are their favorites.

I have no kids but have been there with two separate groups of kids...one teens and the other, 8 - 10 year olds. We did lots of restaurants....and I asked the teens. Their opinion? Teppan Edo. Fun, good food, interesting. Check it out. And it is a good break at Epcot.
