Need help: Cancellation for Saturday

My family was supposed to leave for Disney Thursday and I now have two sick parents and probably need to cancel our 2 week vacation AT the AKL. They are both not seriously ill but just sick enpught not to make the trip this week. We cannot travel any other time because of school conflicts. Our check in date is December 18th so I guess have to cancel today to get the five day refund.

Both parents are going to the doctor today but I don't think it is going to work out. Everyone is so sad and disappointed. Does anyone know the very last time I can cancel. This will be a hard call to make.

Please keep us in your thoughts and maybe some Pixy dust will help.

Could you shorten instead of cancelling? Rather than turfing the whole thing, just go a few days later? I doubt Disney would penalize you for that.

How sick are they? If they need antibiotics- I've found that ususally I and my kids feel much better after 4 days or so of meds- maybe they could just rest in the room the first day or so?? I'd hate to cancel 2 weeks if a few days of rest is all that is needed. Sending some PD your way! Unless they can share their sickness, I'd still go unless we were throwing up- yeck! Colds and stuffy noses are controllable.
