Ok, Dh and I have been to WDW a # of times. We have ate a number of restraunts. Not as many as many of you. We usually do 2-3 sit down meals a trip. They are usually mainly in the parks.

Here's where I need help. We will arrive at the airport on our 1st day at 8:00 A.m. Then off to check-in. I would like to make a PS for outside of the parks for that day. We will also have ds1. I was thinking a character meal. What are some suggestions and what time would you think would be good? Thanks!

How about dinner at Chef ::MickeyMo Mickey's?

Ok, I was thinking about here. I didn't know what there hours would be like in July and I didn't know if I wanted to wait till dinner. Thanks!

If you'd rather not wait, you could do breakfast at Chef Mickey's instead. Since your flight lands at 8, you should have no trouble making a late breakfast. Here's some info I found for you (care of Intercot):

Chef Mickey's
(Contemporary Resort)
Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner
Hours: Breakfast - from 7am to 11:30am
Dinner - 5pm to 9:30pm
Buffet Style - Separate Adult & Children's offerings.
Breakfast includes omelets, and pancakes made to order, as well as the traditional breakfast items.
Dinner buffet offers roast beef, pork loin covered in nuts, cod with curry crust, vegetables, desserts and an ice cream bar with a great variety of toppings.
Prices: Breakfast - $17.99 Adults, $9.99 Children
Dinner - $26.99 Adults, $11.99 Children
Characters: Chef Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale & Chef Goofy

Thanks! I've been pretty good at finding a lot of stuff, but I haven't found out much about the restraunts. I have an old resort guide book to all of the restraunts, but I don't know how up to date it is with times and such.

I am not sure you will make the latest CM seating at 11:30...that said I would try for it, a second choice is Cape May. Where are you staying and what park are you planning to go to first? I think you might want to do a dinner at CP or LTT so you are not rushed. You can check in, grab a bite to eat at the food court, change, etc and then hit the parks.

I'd wait and do the character meal (Chef Mickeys) at night for dinner. THat way you won't be so worried about making it there on time.

Recently we have been going to the World and not going to the park the 1st day but we like to welcome ourselves with the fireworks from MK. If we are staying onsite we usually do breakfast at the hotel if we drove or if we our upto to it we hit DTD or the Boardwalk. And for dinner we do either O'hana or CG for dinner. Nothing hectic more of a leisurely phase and get yourself mode for tomorrow. If we are Off site we try to do our dinner at the Boardwalk since it's easier to drive and get to by car from an offsite hotel that we have chosen to stay at. Lately we have learn how to really make a relaxing vacation out of the World and it is nice. We do get to smell the Roses :goodvibes
