NEED HELP - buses affect schedule - advice please

For my May trip I have the following planned:

Tues: MK in the morning, DTD and then HDD at 5 pm

Thurs: TL then AK then MK for Wishes

It sounds like a lot in those days, but the night time activities are leisurely. Plus it's the only time I can squeeze in DTD and one more trip to AK. AK is also having their ONLY late night hours that evening. However, I was thinking about bussing situations and this plan is beginning to not make sense.

Should I switch DTD and AK? Is there any bus from TL that goes to AK or DTD? Or from MK to AK or DTD?

Need help! What looks feasible and less stressful?? I'm leaving it to all you plan-aholics.

There are no buses from the parks to DTD. To get to and from DTD you must take a bus from a resort.
In order to get to the MK from AK, you need to take a bus to the TTC and then either the ferry or monorail over to the MK. There are no buses that run from the parks directly to the MK.
I am not sure about getting from TL, to AK, I would suspect that there are buses that run from the water parks to the other parks, but I am not sure.

I don't know how laws are in FL but I'm under 25 and therefore am assuming I can't rent a car.

Perhaps...it wouldn't be the end of the world to skip DTD? And do AK the day I leave in the morning?

It's just AK is my fav. and I need to visit it twice. There is no easy solution.

The above link will give you connections and approximate travel times.
And I have found that these times are a bit over-stated.
On many days, you can make the trip much faster than stated.

I think I might try this instead:

One day: TL then to MK for the rest of the day

Other day: AK for the day - Bus to FW for HDDR - bus to DTD for the evening

This way you only have to take a bus between venues once on the MK day and the day you do DTD, you're at a resort so can take a direct bus instead of having to switch off at a resort. DTD is open late so you should have time after the 5PM HDDR.

There are no buses directly from either DTD or the Water Parks directly to/from any of the theme parks. You would have to take a bus to/from a Resort and then change buses.

I'm not sure about Epcot, but to get from AK or DHS to MK (or reverse) you have to go to TTC.

Between AK/DHS/EC there are direct buses.

I agree with switching DTD to after the early HDD. It takes a while to get to Fort Wilderness if you're not staying there. You can go there directly from MK. DTD is even better after dark.

Going to DTD after HDD might work. I do agree it is better at night. It makes a lot of sense though. I could spend the day at MK and just take the bus to Fort Wilderness then to DTD and right back to my resort from there.

As for the AK day, I may move it to our last day and go to TL in the morning and MK in the evening.

I believe this is incorrect information. There ARE buses from the water parks to the other theme parks. I took one of them in August of 2007 (BB to MK to be exact). And there are absolutely buses from one theme park to the others. I did this as well (Epcot to MGM on one occassion and AK to MK on another). I am not 100% sure about buses from TL to DTD although my guess would be that they also have these- I did not personally use or notice them. Also, h DTD and TL are right near each other- 1-2 minutes away so doing those together might make a lot of sense.

AK is my favorite, too. Keep in mind that the Fast Passes for the safari have been running out before noon. I would definitely try to be there at opening to be able to do as much as possible.

1) I don't think that's right.

2) Yes. Nobody posted to the contrary. But you can't take a bus from another park DIRECTLY to/from the MK GATES. The park-to-park buses (and monorails) to/from MK all terminate at the TTC.

3) Yes, direct service.

This stuff can get complex!

If you are going to HDDR after a day at MK it makes more sense to take the boat from MK over to Fort Wilderness as it docks just steps away from where you need to go...if you take a bus you will have to take another bus to get to Pioneer Hall.

I can't do this as then I won't have an opening morning in MK so I don't know how to work around that.

No worries about FP! The whole dilemma involving AK comes from my need to be there a 2nd time in the week. I'll have been there on a morning previously in the week. Just need to get one last EE ride in before I go home.
