Here is the deal...We were suppose to go to Myrtle Beach SC and found out this morning we may be heading to FL instead :flower: . Only one problem; WE LEAVE IN 3 DAYS! Called CM's and they only have POP available for $850.71 for the 7 nights. Would you take it or try offsite. Please I need advice quickly! Thanks!

I have and I would. However, I really don't like staying offsite and enjoy the convienience of onsite transportation, not paying to park, and EMH. I have stayed off-site and disliked it each time-- not worth the $210 or so savings--not factoring gas for driving and the parking prices.

Pop is a really fun, cute resort and nothing beats that total Disney feeling that you get when you stay on site. We had a great time there last June and would definitely pay the $109. I hate staying offsite,no matter how nice the hotel is,its not Disney!

I would. I loved Pop Century. Do you have AAA? Call back and asked for a AAA discount.

Yes, I would. Nothing beats staying onsite. What kind of savings are you really talking about here by staying offsite? Have you gotten any other prices?? If you can, I would definetly pay the extra couple hundred bucks, to me it would be worth it.

I wouldn't. For that price if you intend to go more than once this year and can swing an AP the AP rate for POR was 104.00.

BUT if it came down to onsite or off. I think I would pay any price to make sure I was onsite!

We have an AP, so parking and such wouldn't be a problem. I am talking about POP itself being worth the $109 = tax a night. I have only stayed at the All Stars once and we paid $49 a night, so that is kind of what I am comparing it to. Please keep the advice coming...

There were no AP rates available for anything!

Is that price with or without AAA discount? If I'm understanding the discounts correctly, With AAA you should be able to knock off 15% or better of your bill -- 20% if it's value season, which I'm not sure April vacation is.

According to Mousesavers...

WDW Annual Passholders can ask for Code EWY and get special discounted rates at select Walt Disney World resorts for check-ins 4/17/05-7/4/05. The code gives you a flat discount off the rack rates: $25 off Value resorts, $40 off Moderate resorts and $100 off Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts. Some sample rates:

Value Resorts (All Stars and Pop Century) - $74 standard

You might get this discount IF they have rooms available. Hope it helps.

We would be checking in the 15... They did offer me the cabins at FW for $176 + tax with the AP rate but I don't really think we want to stay there :confused3

Per Mousesavers again...sorry I wasnt thinking about the dates. This is the same thing but a different code. I hope your able to use the code.

WDW Annual Passholders can ask for Code BEX and get special discounted rates at select Walt Disney World resorts for check-ins 2/17/05-4/16/05. These discounts are supposedly available only for Sunday-Thursday check-ins, but some people report getting the rates for Friday and Saturday check-ins. Some sample rates:

Value Resorts (All Stars and Pop Century) - $74 standard

Normally I would say no, I wouldn't pay that much for a value because i too have paid $49/nt. But I really don't think you'll save much by going offsite either at this late date. So if it was a choice of paying that much or not going and it is within budget than I would do it. I would also keep calling daily before you leave in case something opens up.

We do not have AAA, so this is rack rate.

Well see if they have rooms avail @ AAA rate and then join up. Might save you $100.

Since this is the only option that seems to be available onsite at this time, I would go for it. We stayed there for a couple of nights and enjoyed our stay. The pools are nicely thmed and since we had our own car the transportation factor wasn't a problem. I would definitely choose POP over staying offsite. We just love being on property at WDW!!

that is expensive for Pop Century.

I don't know what I would do.

Maybe stay offsite for most of the trips - but a couple of days spend onsite?

I only read your thread. It is worth it! Take it! I have paid $119! And...it was worth it and I am happy that we had the chance to stay there. Enjoy your stay at PoP!!

We just stayed at the POP in March.

It was very nice and fun! IF there are no other onsite options, I would say YES stay there. The buses alone are worth the onsite price!

The food court was very big and nice, they have an awesome arcade and the pools were warm and great to swim in. The resort is landscaped really well, too. IF you have young kids the gooofy jets and playground are a plus.

I love staying onsite and if it was my option to pay rack rate or go elsewhere, I would choose rack rate, $109 is still very cheap when considering an onsite, transportation included disney owned resort.

OH, and we could see the fireworks from the 4th floor at Epcot and MK.

good luck and let us know what you do!! :wizard:
