Hey! We're announcing to my mom and DH's mom tonight that we are taking them to WDW this October. We're taking them to dinner tonight to thank them for watching our dogs while we were on our cruise. I wanted to make up thank you cards for them that say something like, How about next trip you come too! The trip is in October if that helps. Any DIS poets out there? TIA!

How about....

We wanted to thank you
for helping us out
and watching our doggies.
You're the best, there's no doubt.

We are going again
on a trip in the fall.
But this time ,we'd like it to be for us all!

We'd like to take you to a magical land
where a castle stands tall
and you can walk in the sand

We know it's a surprise
We don't mean to be tricky
We'd like you to have fun with
our good friend named Mickey!

You are very welcome :goodvibes I love anything Disney so i was glad to help. Have a magical trip:wizard:

My in-laws are taking our entire family over spring break and though we M's&D's knew about the trip the kids didn't. So on my birthday my MIL gave everyone in the family a 3X5 index card with a word or 2 that had to be read in order. So each family member read their card and for the first 2 rounds my FIL would say lets do that again. When we finally got to the last time then my DH read his card that said We're going to WDW. The kids had so much fun and were just jumping up and down screaming :jumping1: . Of course I would be a little concerned if your moms did that in the middle of a restaurant, but it was a fun way to tell the kids. After the kids learned about it I presented each kid with a reverse birthday present. I had made them each a memory box to put their bits and pieces and pictures from our trip into when we get back. I took small shoeboxes and 4X6 mattes and covered them with red and yellow fabric and then I decorated them with MM colored and themed trims. Then I took a picture of each child that had been taken at their previous trip there and slid it into the opening I had left at the top when I glued on the matte. When it is time to fill their boxes at the end of our trip they can slide out the old picture and put in a new one. If you don't have a picture of your moms at WDW you could put a general park picture, like the castle, and that would work just as well. The kids really loved them and at our second family gathering that night they were showing them off to evryone.

I loved the OP poen it was great but I thought I would give you another idea:idea:. Have fun telling them however you chose to do it, and have a great trip:cloud9:
