Hello all

My Disney Family (myself, DH, DS(7), DD(6), DS(3) are making our way to DL for the first time. DH and I are WDW lovers, been many times. We now live in AZ and thought we might try DL. We prefer to stay on property, don't have a problem taking kids out of school to go on off peek times, and will be driving. Any suggestion and tips are greatly appreciate.

Thanks for all your help.

Erin

One nice thing about Disneyland is that there are a lot of hotels within walking distance of the parks that aren't on property. From what I understand (haven't been to WDW), it's not like WDW where the off-property hotels are miles away. You may be able to get some better deals at these hotels (and the rates will surely be cheaper). They are, however, of varying quality, so it's worth being choosy. We always stay off property, and are always within walking distance of the parks.

The off property benefits extend to restaurants as well. There's a few good restaurants withing walking distance of the parks (Mimi's is a good one). The portions are huge, but the prices aren't!!
