1 sleeve saltine crackers
1 Cup butter
1 Cup sugar
12 ozs. chocolate chips
chopped almonds (optional)
Heat oven to 400. Line cookie sheet with foil and butter or spray it. Line crackers to fit pan (breaking if necessary). Bring butter and sugar to a boil and cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over crackers, bake 10 minutes. Remove and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over. Wait till they melt and spread to coat. Sprinkle with nuts if desired.
2 batches require 1 one pound box of butter, 2 cups sugar, 2 sleeves crackers, and 2 bags chips
