My friend is unable to sleep with her head down. She has purchased a blow up wedge that will elevate her head. We will be staying at POFQ and I was wondering if there would be an air compressor that can blow up this wedge? If not would we be able to get a reclining chair?

We have a portable inflatable wedge we travel with (Travelwedge - https://www.travelwedge.com/Default.asp ) and I use a Flextailgear portable pump for it [now available through Amazon]. I have a couple of the pumps, one USB powered and one battery powered. To be honest I bring them both in case one fails; they are small enough it isn't a big deal. I had a previous one by another company and it failed which is why I bring both Flextails. Small and purpose built.

You can also get a manual pump, any outdoor goods store, Walmart, Amazon etc should carry them; there are some that are quite compact. A warning though - they take a lot of time and human effort to do the inflation. Once you have used an electric one you won't want to go back to manual :-)

I wouldn't use a blow up wedge - why not order a more solid one on Amazon and have it shipped to the resort?

I know for us the foam wedges don't work - they are quite uncomfortable and result in back pain. YMMV and I realize they work well for some people.

Also, they make some that are intended to be put between the mattress and box spring which could be an option. We haven't tried those.

Whatever one ends up using, I HIGHLY suggest trying the specific choice out at home first to make sure it is actually a suitable option. Finding out during vacation that it won't work is not the time to figure it out.

My dad used a blow up wedge for years until recently switching to a 5 piece foam system that works even better for him (and comes with space bags for travel). He has a tiny little camping air pump (electric) that weighs almost nothing and is super easy to toss into a suitcase. Highly recommend getting something like that.

This one has a rechargeable battery, and Dad's is plug-in, but this is the general style. He's had it for probably 20 years and it still works great. https://www.amazon.com/Electric-Inf...able-Inflatable/dp/B0834T8J9G/ref=sr_1_4_sspa
