:)A little info.. I am, and my dd13 are disneyholics... I'm getting my hubby to be one soon...

We just went on the Dream this last February.. and booked the Wonder for next february...

BUT then, I found the YES program for the Wild by Nature.. DD 13 has aspergers and a LOVE for animals... So I do what I can to help her be happy in an environment that she is comfortable with.. and animals are that!

SO this morning I booked it for August 28th... and debating where to stay.A..

I know free dining is then, and I must be minimum 2 day passes to get it.

All Star Music... just the room for 5 nights is 509... with free quick dining, 2 day passes (which I'll hold til next time) is 1048.75. Is the quick dining really worth this extra money? Any thoughts, input?

We are a pretty plain family, nothing fancy, no hoppers, no waterparks...:)

You can get the minimum ticket allowed for the package and t try to save costs buy another ticket using AAA or undercover tourist that is a highly reputable ticket broker. I would calculate the savings first to see if it is really worth splitting the tickets. Free Dining alone is a HUGE moneysaver!

I feel it is worth it to upgrade to the regular dining plan but I want one sit down meal a day (usually lunch). I don't care about the desserts, but upgrading is still worth it for my family of 3.

I am not a big fan of disney counter service to begin with so that might come into play a little too.

hmm that's a thought I didn't think of.. thankyou... more pondering to come! lol:lmao:

I definitely think upgrading is a good idea. One sit down meal a day is a good idea and provides extra dining options...that is what we did.

I like to think of "free dining" as a discount. If you were to purchase the QSDP, it would cost you $35 per night, so your discount on the room is $105. So ... you're either staying or eating for free :). The vast majority of your cost is the park tickets that you will be saving for your next trip (and you do know you can upgrade them once you use them once, right?). I would simply consider that pre-paying for your next trip's tickets. So, 3 people are staying at a Disney resort and eating for about $100 per day. I consider that a real bargain!

Like others have said, you can upgrade to the regular DDP for just $17 per person per night and I think it's really worth it to replace one CS restaurant with a TS restaurant. You also may want to consider upgrading to a moderate resort that includes the regular DDP. Once you pay $51 more per day for the DDP, it might not be all that more expensive to upgrade to a nicer resort with a hot tub and pool slide. You'll have to run the numbers on the Disney website.
