Need good TS recommendation for MK

Tonys. We were there in Jan and had a great meal. We went at 6:30 and sat in the sunroom and saw spectomagic and got out in time for wishes which we watched from town square...perfect night. The chicken parm is great and the portions are huge

The options are fairly limited... there are five "table service" restaurants in the MK. Assuming you want dinner, the choices are:

  1. Cinderella's Royal Table -- pros: eating in the castle, character interaction; cons: pricey, hard to book
  2. Crystal Palace -- pros: character meal, generally great reviews; cons: buffet, not true table service
  3. Liberty Tree Tavern -- pros: all you can eat; cons: not a good place for dinner, by reviews, lunch menu is different/better
  4. The Plaza -- pros: generally favorable reviews; cons: menu is basically sandwiches, might not be a great dinner choice
  5. Tony's Town Square -- pros: probably the only true "table service" restaurant in the MK (that's not outrageously priced) with a normal dinner menu; cons: very spotty reviews, seems it's a "love it" or "hate it" kind of place

The choices are fairly limited in the MK. If you are willing, you would probably be better off taking the monorail to one of the resorts. You'll get a better meal. Ohana at the Poly is good. California Grill at the Contemporary is our favorite, but it is 2 credits on the DDP, if you have that. Other than that, there are several good options at the GF, Kona Cafe at the Poly, and I believe The Wave at the Contemporary. A little more info about your group would help to give a better recommendation!

We love CP breakfast and dinner, Tonys for lunch was very good....we are trying dinner there next month

We really enjoyed Tony's. Service and food were both excellent. We have done both Crystal Palace and Cinderella's castle and weren't overly thrilled with either. Haven't tried Liberty Tree Tavern yet...

Just got home about from our WDW vacation - MK TS - I would recommend Crystal Palace - yes it's character - but the buffet was YUMM!!!:goodvibes

Crystal Palace, Plaza, Liberty Tree Tavern and Tony's--that is our order of preference (we've never done the castle...we have two boys and they would not be caught dead eating in a castle with princesses :rotfl2: ).

Loved Crystal Palace for breakfast before the park opened and if you are willing to venture out of the park briefly Ohana was our favorite meal of the trip!

The Wave at the contemporary, you can take the monorail or walk,I can't rate this restaurant highly enough-easily in our top 3 of 21 days dining.
SD:thumbsup2

CRT - Very Good Sing Rest.
CP- Good has Character's
Tony's - Good
Plaza - Sandwich resturant

Thank you for asking this question. I just cancelled Mama Melrose because we have a tour that includes lunch that day and I know we'll be stuffed. I love Mama M, but we'll be at MK and now have one more TS credit to fill. Tony's was suggested to us and I made a reservation..... then I started to worry.

My vote would be for the Plaza, love their sandwiches and sundaes!

Tony's in Magic Kingdom or if you are willing to go outside MK then either Konas at the Poly or the Wave at the Contemporary.

IF the word "good" weren't in there, I'd have some recommendations..

IF you want a good TS meal, I'd just hop the monorail and go to one of the resort restaurants.
