YAY!!! Have a great time and remember to bring your anti-biotics with you. That should be the first thing to put on your packing list for your carry-on. Have fun.

update-They let me go home! After seeing 7, yes SEVEN doctors, three of which were hand surgeons, they sent me home with a two week antibiotic prescription. I also had one bag of IV antibiotics.

Glad they sprung you out of there. On the bright side, it's good you got the specialists' exams and meds before your cruise. The cruise doctors do all they can but they aren't as specialized as your case seems to indicate. Rather than risk treating a serious infection like yours they'd be more apt to send you home.
