I have to pick up a gift for my step-mother. I know she scraps a little and she has all those fancy scissors, but I don't think she has much else in the way of supplies. If you were to receive a gift related to scrapping, what would you like?
Thanks for your input.

A gift certificate to a LSS would be nice or something that she could exchange if not something she would use.

eyelets
fibers
a small photo album that is great to scrap pics of grandkids
markers

You'd think with all the scrap crap I have I could come up with something better but I hope this helps.

I love getting gift certificates to scrap stores. It's hard to buy paper for others because some like plain, some like patterned, I like to coordinate mine with my photos so I even take photos with me to the store sometimes.
Since you said she doesn't have much I think a nice set of acid free pens would be nice. You can get them in sets or individually. I'd get the basic colors and throw in a couple of her favorite color.
A corner rounder or a good quality 12 inch paper cutter would be good if she doesn't have one.
If she's into embellishments you could get her a nice eyelet setter kit.
If she has a trip planned or if you know what she takes a lot of pictures of you could get metal tags or embellishments to go with that theme.
If she uses a 35 mm you could buy her some film!
An idea book would be nice, unless you think it would offend her. Some people think they're doing fine (which they are) and feel an idea book is an insult. I just like to try different things. Any book by Becky Higgins is great, IMO. Her "Creative Sketches For Scrapbooking" is organized by the number of photos you have. It shows different ways of arranging them on a 2 page spread. Her book "The Creative Companion" gives ideas for borders, tags, and journalling.

A subscription to a scrapping magazine woul be great! Also, I would love to get rubber stamps of all kinds! Ones with greetings, leaves and flowers, blank backgrounds, borders, etc. Oh, and all kinds of stamp pads also. But everything is so expensive! that's why I would want it as a gift. Any decortive pens, or even scrapbooking paper, paper cutter, grid mat, eyelets, and little embellishmnets lkike jollies or any other stickers, fibers, tags, etc.
