Need ebay help immediately!

yoopermom,

Go into the advanced search and check the closed auctions for the particular Crosby that you have (including the tree size and the shape that it's in) and that will give you an idea of what they are going for.

Good luck!

Well my saddle auctions are over and they did not sell. Interestingly after the auctions I got emails from several people trying to get me to a) sell cheaper and b) sell outside ebay. I came down a little (but told them I would relist with a buyitnow/pay immediately/asis) but each party wanted me to go down alot more $100s. So luckily I heading to the big city tomorrow and will drop the saddles off at a great saddle consignment shop I have bought from before. I will definitely get more money than I would have on ebay. And I won't have the hassles. I am doing pretty poorly on my sell through. I think I started items too high, but I don't want to GIVE stuff away. The fees sure add up fast, esp when you don't sell an item. What do you all do? Do you relist cheaper, put it in the garage sale box, what? That's my question now. Thanks. The good news is it looks like I might make $70-80 for my wdw fund, but I had hoped for hundreds! Guess I was feeling greedy! How foolish! I have alot to learn about pricing, how to respond, what items to sell, etc. there is alot to learn!

Don't give up just yet---I can't even count the number of times I had something not sell, and then relist it and have several bid it up to higher than my original buy-it-now. Sometimes with higher priced items, I find that I might list it 3 times before it sells.

I honestly think people watch it first, and if someone else bids, they will out bid them, but if no one bids, they would rather let it close and then try to talk the seller down. I have people do this to me all the time. My response is always the same: "Thank you for the offer, but as this is a higher priced, specialty item, I am confident that if it didn't sell this week, it will the next week or the next--especially with the number of watchers I had. I don't mind relisting several times until the right buyer comes along. I will be reslisting it shortly for the same starting and buy-it-now prices, and would be happy to do business with you, if you end up being the high bidder. "

Maybe it had something to do with your feedback. If you just started selling, do you have a low feedback? I hesitate (and usually don't) buy from sellers with low feedback.

Hi Wendyl- you are a sage. Thanks for the encouragement! I will relist all but the saddles today. I actally never thought I would sell those, but then I had so many emails and hits and then the dope that bid and then didn;t want it so, guesg I got my hopes up.! That is great to know you relist and often eventually sell, even more than originally hoped! I have some funky things, antiques, and it might just be not enough people were watching.

To ceecee- I have 24-all buying and 100% positive over one year. Does that seem low? I am one of those instant payers and strive to be super courteous and professional.

Saddles do not always sell, ( have been watching for a while) as they are highly specialized and it is very difficult to know if it will fit your horse- UNLESS THEY ARE DIRT CHEAP. Once in a while One like mione brought the big bucks, but more times not. I only bought one online when I had tried the exact saddle and knew it fit me and my horse.
So who knows?

My husband is getting frustrated because I am online alot. I think he feels I am wasting time. But hey,I am on a laptop and at least I am earning a little money than buying!!!! It seems like since I decided to sell it is much easier not to browse. The idea is to get rid of stuu, get a little more fiscally sound, and of course have more $ for Mickey, right?! so I am letting him take care of the DKs alittle more!

Thanks guys!
