Need Ebay advice please!!

An auction of mine just closed-at the last second, someone bid and won who is from Canada, has 0 feedback and a PO box. The auction says I only ship within the US. What should I do???

Well you said you only ship to the US so the bidder did not read all the auction listing. Can't you notify ebay and get your fees back and CX the bid?

I don't know...I've never had to do something like that.

I would consider shipping to another country, but the combination of 0 feedback and a PO Box for a mailing address worries me. Would this person be able to leave me negative feedback (mine is at 68 and 100% positive)?

maybe you could contact ebay and tell them what happened and even email the last bidder (before winner bidder) and see if they would like to purchase it for what they bidded last... but I would think ebay would void the bid since the buyer did not read...

I'm having to ebay all of my sprint phones (family phones) that we just got because due to Hurricane Katrina they said it could be 6 months before are service was back to it's full working abilities... i dont think so! i dont use a home phone so we have to have a working cell phone, i just switched over to nextel so I didn't have to pay the 150 out of contract fee (even though they told my husband they would just wave his, but not me... weird huh?)

You absolutely don't have to honor the bid if you stated that you don't ship outside of the US. Contact the bidder and tell them that. Also file with Ebay to get your fvf back. The bidder obviously didn't take the time to read your auction fully.

That being said, I've shipped to Canada numerous times and it's very easy. If it's under 4 lbs you can send it air letter post, which doesn't cost that much more than US shipping. Just pick up a green customs form at the post office, and they can help you fill it out if you haven't done it before.

Thanks-I think I am going to cancel the bid, esp. because the bidder has 0 feedback and a PO Box-the combination just makes me nervous...

In the future when you select the areas you ship to you can also select to block bidders who are not in those countries.

Thanks for the info-I went ahead and filed an unwelcome bid claim, so we'll see what happens...I'm just hoping that they can't give me negative feedback because I've worked hard to maintain 100% positive feedback (75+ transactions).
