Need directions, please

Can anyone give me the best route to DL from Manhattan Beach. We will be traveling on a Monday night between 5 pm and 8 pm?

Assuming you have TWO or more people in the car and will be using the carpool lanes, I would go:

405 north to 105 east
105 ends at 605, take 605 south to 91 east
91 east to 5 south to Disneyland exit (follow the signs)

This route will give you the ability to take carpool lanes pretty much all the way, and that will save you tons of time in the evening traffic.

Thanks for your reply, Michelle. I neglected to mention we are travelling Labor Day Monday. Would that make a difference in the route we should take?

Also, we are staying at the Portofino Inn & Suites at the corner of Harbor and Katella. Is Harbor the correct exit to take? Thanks again.

Hi chloesmommi! Traffic should be light on a holiday, BUT you'll be traveling at the time that everyone comes home from vacation. However, the route you're going will be against most of the major traffic.

Yes, the exit you would take off the 5 is Harbor Blvd., south to Katella.
