I am planning a trip for my parents, 2 sisters, 2 brother-in-laws, 1 niece (9), and 2 nephews (5 and 8). We are staying 5 nights (June 22nd-27th) at Saratoga Springs (2 bedroom villa and 1 bedroom villa) and have purchased the DDP for everyone.

Planning the airfare, renting the DVC points, Magical Express, and figuring out what parks to go to was easy, but figuring out the DDP is the exact opposite! I'm not sure where to start. Will we be able to get any reservations in the evenings for a group that size and only 60 days out??? I know we will be in the MK for two evenings, Epcot one evening, and HS one evening.

Would TS lunches be more feasible at this point? If we are oinly going to get a few TS meals, what are some good ones at MK, HS, and Epcot to try for?

Thanks!

I thought that reservations were accepted 6 months out. Anyone else can chime in on this????

Do you mean you are going in 60 days? Otherwise (like PP said) you can make them 180 days out.

I would go ahead and make an ADR for the nights you know where you'll be. If your plans change, you can always cancel them. Also, you can get ADRs while you are there. Even though I usually make an ADR for each night of our trip, things change. We frequently make changes to our plans and that sometime means changing ADRS. We have always been able to get in somewhere. It may be a little harder with a bigger group, but you should still be able to get ADRS.

Are you going as well, or are you just planning it for others?

We actually do most of our TS outside of the parks (just in case we aren't in a park that day) We mostly use our TS for dinners and CS for lunches.

Some of our favs TS are (all dinners):
Boma (AKL)
Park Fare (GF)
Kona (Poly)
Calif. Grill (Cont.)
Narcoossee's (GF)
LTT (MK)
50's PTC (MGM)
Raglan Road (DTD)
Princess Storybook (Epcot)

When we have enough credits left, then we'll use TS for breakfast our last day. We like Park Fare, and 'Ohana, for breakfast. We usually book a late a.m. ADR.

HTHs!

Since you are only 60 days out for your trip .........
I would figure out which restaurant you really would like to visit and then call Disney Dining and see what is available. If everything is booked keep calling. Cancellations happen all the time because people finalize their plans. I have a friend who is in Disney right now and she finally got one of the ADRs she wanted
the day before she left. Sometimes it pays to keep calling.

I would just call and ask "What's available for dinner in MK on 6/23 for party of 12" or whatever your info is..... chances are the pickin's will be slim on short notice and with a big party. Or you can have an idea, like say, CP, and than ask, and if it's not open, the CM will help you find something that is. You may have better luck at lunch.

You should try the Turf Club at SSR... I've heard it's pretty good... we'll be trying it when we stay there just before you.

I would call and book what you can, and see it as an experince to try something new. But you should get ADR's b/c I highly doubt you could walk into any TS with such a big group, and since you're on DDP, you have to use it or lose it.

Good luck!!

It should be easier since you already know what parks you want to visit on what days. Simply choose restaurants at those parks. Obviously, you would want to get some character meals too for the younger kids.

What I prefer to do is have an early breakfast at a Monorail Resort then get to the park for "rope drop" and have lunch and dinner at the park. We do sometimes go back to our resort for a swim and to freshen up before our dinner ADR.

for a listing of Restaurants & Restaurants with Characters. You can even get see menus online!!! popcorn::

yes I meant that we are less than 60 days out (which for anything Disneyworld is last minute!!!).

I will be going as well. Somehow the youngest, single child was designated to be the trip planner because I stayed at the Yacht Club a few months ago!

I guess I will just call and spend some time looking to see what's available.

Thanks everyone.
