Need Costume Help

I need to find a Ariel or Jasmine costume for a plus size 7yo.

Any idea where I can find one for our upcoming trip?

Most of the Jasmine costumes are crop tops (show the belly) so that may not be the best choice for a plus size little girl. Having said that you can check ebay or disney store online for different styles of princess costumes. If you are still having fit issues you can always have a custom made one from either etsy or ebay. Check out the disboutiquers thread to see some of the custom creations my talented friends have made.

As the PP said- for a plus size little girl Jasmine typically is a crop top- so that may not be the best option. Disney store online does have a sale on the Ariel costumes- the have all size up to a size Large. Etsy has many custom costumes on there too (as PP said). If you google "ariel costume" you will get dif shopping results from many online retailers.

you could definitely check out etsy or ebay, use the terms custom, boutique , or ooak (one of a kind) if there is nothing there, you may want to head over to the disboutiquers thread. they all sew and some sell , you can check out siggies to find their seller ids or maybe pm someone if you see something you like and ask them if they sell,

DNiece had a Jasmine costume that had the midriff area covered with "skin tone" fabric. It was lighter than DNiece's skin, which I thought was odd since Jasmine is dark.

Anyway, I found it on eBay and embellished it. If your DD isn't self-conscious, the crop tops I've seen aren't too revealing and just show the waist portion. The elastic in some of the tops may be tight, though, if she's quite a bit bigger than the average child.

Have you tried the ones from the Disney Stores? Most of the dresses typically have a full back panel that's a stretchy fabric...my dd's been wearing the same Cinderella dress since she was 4 (she's 6 1/2 now)....the length is usually pretty forgiving too. The Ariel dress is on sale online right now for $25...not sure what size your dd is wearing right now, but the L says it fits 67-85 lbs, and the size chart gives chest and waist measurements as well....
