I plan on buying the 3-day Park Hopper bonus ticket prior to leaving for DLR. During the last day I will convert it to an AP...my question is this....

Do I get a seperate ticket for the EE or is it on the 3-day ticket....I would like to use the EE later in the week, after we have converted the tickets to AP's. Or will I have to do the EE on one of the 3 days we are using the ticket?

Anyone know?

Pretty sure it's on the 3 day ticket, so you'll need to use it before you convert.

We want to use our EE for the first day we will be there. We have to redeem our City Pass at the ticket office. Will this be a problem? How early does the ticket office open?

I have a question about converting at an AP. My DH is in LA on business for the next few months. We are going to DL for 3 days at the end of this month and another 4 days in March for a total of 7 days (2 of which are Saturdays). I was thinking about getting my DH an PAP as it's only $61 more and it gets us discounts. Our first day will be a Friday and I am thinking about doing EE on Saturday. If he upgraded on Saturday, would they apply the entire purchase of the 3-Day Hopper to the PAP, or just the one remaining day?

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe they apply the whole purchase price of the ticket you are converting towards the price of the AP....anyone else?

I'm pretty sure it's the whole price as well. BTW, the Deluxe and So Cal APs now have more food discounts--10% at most food places (that aren't carts). PAPs are 15% and only PAPs get merchandise discounts.

I'm actually now thinking that skipping EE on Saturday (when the park opens at 8:00 AM anyway) may be the way to go so we can get the discounts on our first two days :).

Unless something has changed very recently (and I doubt it), I can confirm what the others have said: the EE is tied to your hopper ticket; you do not get a separate ticket for EE. Everything is computerized, so the computer knows when/if you have used your EE and how many days are left on your parkhopper.

I can also confirm that the full price of your parkhopper is applied to your AP. By the way, while I would think that the AP would expire 1 year from the first day use of your parkhopper, that was not the way it worked for me when I converted a 5-day PH to an AP in August. My AP expires 1 year from the day of conversion, which was the 5th day of use. That may have been a mistake, but I won't complain.

While there are a lot more discounts now for all levels of APs, keep in mind that many of the discounts are also available with a AAA card or a Disney Visa. If you have these, then it might make sense for you to convert later. On the other hand, if you are staying at a Disney Hotel, you will get EE anyway, so you might as well convert early.
