Need clarification on split stay and dining FP

I just switched my first 3 nights of my reservation to Poly. The CM gave me dates for the my windows for dining and FP. She gave me different dates for each part of our trip. I did a split stay a few years ago but i didn't recall different FP dates I thought i booked the whole trip when my first reservation window opened. (it was well fast the 180d mark for ADR so that wasn't an issue).

So because i have 2 different reservations for my split -- is this the case? or can they link the reservations as one vacation thus having the 180+10 option for our FP and dining booking

Per the FP thread on the TPAS board, having a split stay with both parts onsite will open your booking window for both stays at the 60-day mark for the first (as you remember). Unfortunately, I don't think dining works the same - I believe your 180+length of stay opens separately for each stay.
