Need Citricos Reassurance

I had heard such GREAT things about Citricos and just today read a bad review. Ugh. I am taking my sister to WDW for 3 days only for her 40th bday. We have only 2 dinners planned and I wanted them to be SPECIAL. I was certain the first is...V&A...but what about Citricos? I have never been. I have been to Narcoosees and Cali Grill and enjoyed them both immensely...I was hoping to have a similar experience at Citricos. Can I get some reassurance here??

I've never ate there but not everyone can like the same thing. Go and experience for yourself. You will probably like it. I have heard nothing but good about Citrico's. I wouldn't let one bad review ruin it for ya!

My sister and I ate at Citricos two years ago and enjoyed it. It was a great meal. The food was great, the service was fantastic. I plan on going back when we return next October.

I had a wonderful meal there with my parents in December. Dad and I both had the veal shank, which was indescribably delicious.

We had a great dinner when we dined at Citricos - wonderful service and terrific food. My husband loved the veal shank and I had the short ribs with polenta, which was also really good.

I had the scallops and they were wonderful. The risotto that accompanied them was the best thing I ate all week. My salad was good too and DH enjoyed his fish entree (I can't remember what he had), but he said it was very good.

The only thing I did not like was the tropical creme brulee, but that was a personal thing. It just seemed like an odd mix of textures and flavors.

I would definitely go back and I hope you enjoy it.

One bad review after hearing GREAT things about Citricos and suddenly you are worried? If you second guess every restaurant at WDW that gets a bad review, there won't be anywhere left to eat! Citricos is great. I have been there many times and it has always been wonderful.

We went there for my birthday in November.

I had the potato-leek soup which was fabulous for an appetizer.
Dh had the pork 2 ways- which he thought was some of the best pork he had ever eaten (coming from NC that is saying a lot).
I had a fish dish for dinner which was good- it came with risotto that I didn't care for but it was more that I had never had risotto and didn't like the dish more than it being not good- the flavor weas good but I didn't like the consistancy (which was right for risotto I just didn't care for it).
I had the Lemon Cheesecake for dessert which was amazing. I don't remember DH having a dessert.

Don't worry- you'll love Citrico's. My fiance and I ate there last May and it was one of our favorite meals. For apps, he had the crispy arancini and I had the gateau of crab. I'm not a huge crab cake person, but I really loved the gateau of crab. For entrees, he had the filet and I had the veal shank. The veal shank is soooo delicious- it just falls right off the bone. I can't remember what he had for dessert but I had the trio of gelato, which was the perfect finish to the meal. We really liked everything we ordered. Enjoy!

We went there and its one of my favorite restaurant. We had crab cake and shrimp for appt and for my course I had Braised Veal Shank (it was really good) and my husband had salmon and he enjoyed it. We went there for my 40th b-day so they provided a special menu for me to keep and make me a special dessert...it was really good. An assortment of sweets.

We ate at Citricos one night of my week-long 50th birthday celebration. I thought some of the service was more than a bit pretentious. We'd come from the Magic Kingdom and, while we were dressed appropriately, my husband forgot he had his hat on. The manner in which they asked him to remove it was rude. Our meal was good, my Son in Law had the veal shank and enjoyed it, but I don't think we'd go back. If it weren't for being made to feel badly about the hat, I'm sure the experience would have been better.

One of my favorite meals at WDW was an evening at Citrico's with my gf and several friends last May. Great food, great atmosphere.

We loved it so much, we will be celebrating my 30th birthday there this mothers day!!

My DH and I dined here on January 8th and the experience was absolutly awesome!! Our servers were the best that we had in all of WDW (we went to 4 other signature restaurants that week as well) they were informative, funny, and really went out of their way to make our dinner amazing! I had the duck confit app with gnocci and it was very good and the perfect portion size and my DH had the tuna which was his favorite of the 3 different tuna apps he had that week. For entrees my DH had some kind of fish (I don't eat fish so I have no memory of what it was) he liked it but my veal shank blew it out of the water, this was incredible and a very good serving size. The desserts are also not to be missed they have the best presentation and my lemon cheesecake with raspberry was the best dessert of the trip. Enjoy

Citrico's is a very good restaurant, one of the best. But remember that everyone has their own opinion. A review is just that, an opinion.
