We are 3 adults (me, dh, and 16 year old ds). We are heading down for a week and I am really trying to cut back on the restaurant bills just a bit:rolleyes: . Is there any places you can recomend for some yummy food (yes, I know Deb's site for menus) that we can eat for like $10-15 a person and come away satisfied?

I just HATE to drop $100 for 3 people on dinner alone. DH & ds are pretty big eaters so please keep that in mind. We do love Fort Wilderness' Trails End for lunch, that is probably the BEST deal in Disney. Thanks and please think hard:wave:

DH and I are pretty big eaters too, but we still are plenty satisfied splitting any meals at the counter service. This year we are going to eat our way around the World Showcase, just getting one item and splitting it, then maybe every hour or two, try something new. That way we get to try a bunch of different foods and still be full. I looked at menus on ALLEARSNET and figure we could get by only spending about $40.00 for a full days food. That is including feeding our 6 year old DD too. Hope that gives you some ideas!!!

Have a great time!!

I always liked Rays Cosmic Cafe in MK. The place with the animatronic robot? Counter service, but I've never had a bad meal there.

try the vouchers thread. get the lunch vouchers one for A and one for k and use them at Rainforest cafe. You can use them at lots of differant rest. have fun.

Some of our favorite counter service places are:
Pecos Bill's (HUGE fixin's bar!)
Cosmic Rays (they have a family special here too, I think)
Columbia Harbour House

Tusker House at AK
Backlot Express at MGM
Sunshine Food Fair at Epcot

My husband and 17 year old son split a meal with the Q&C vouchers at Beaches and Cream. They both went away stuffed!! If you don't mind going off property, the best deal in Orlando is CiCis pizza. It is all you can eat and they have many locations. I think it was only $3.99 plus drinks for a total of around $5.00 each. I also agree with Trails End buffet. Debby

I was going to mention CiCi Pizza - just tried them for the first time and don't miss Earl of Sandwich at DD.

Earl of Sandwich-DTD $4.95 a sandwich
Peco bills a burger place in MK
Restyrantsaurus(sp?) in AK Burgar place
All Star Resorts sell large Pizzas at $15
plenty of counter sevice places throughout Disney

Epcot-Future World-Innoventions East-Counter Service=The Electric Umbrella - We 3 shared an order of Chicken Strips and the Large Fruit Bowl and we were stuff for a small price!!

I enjoy the $3.50 "Kid's Meals".

They can be had @ all Counter Service countries.

They are just the right portion for Touring!

No "Nappy" feeling after a big meal and one in the early PM and another later in the evening works for me.

we always split meals and have plenty of food!! you can go just
about anywhere this way.

or the kid's meal idea is great too. most counter service have great prices.

but like i said we enjoy good food so we go and split an adult meal and it is fairly cheap this way.

good luck.:sunny:

Will you have a car? If so, there are many great places at Crossroads, etc. There's a Perkins, Friday's, McDonald's Pizzeria Uno's, Taco Bell, etc. at Crossroads. On that same road (can't think of the name, if you go out from Hotel Plaza and go either right or left, there's a multiple of restaurants in both directions that are reasonably priced.

Try the Animal Kingdom meal deal--good at any of their counter service places. It's 11.99 for adults, 5.99 for kids, you get an entree, drink and then a coupon for a pop and ice cream or popcorn later. What really makes this cheap is if you're going to Pizzafari, get the kids' deal voucher. The pizza is the same size, I think the only difference is the size of the drink and you just get chips with it. I think it's explained more fully on Deb's site.

I agree with the others who suggested sharing meals. Most adult meals at Disney are huge, way too much for one person to eat. I also agree to take a look at the kid meals. Unlike some restaurants, Disney doesn't care how old you are. Anyone can order a kids meal.

One great offsite suggestion - Sweet Tomatoes. Excellent buffet.

My ds and I just at wolfgang puck express in Downtown Disney Marketplace. OMG it was amazing!!! We both had a great lunch for $17 incl tax.

This is one of our must-eat-at places. We go there every trip, usually for dinner on the nite we arrive. It is also one of the best places for sharing to cut costs. Their platters are huge. Their "personal" pizzas easily feed 2. Last trip, the 4 of us got 3 meals and still had too much food. This place is a great value for your dollar.

Can someone tellme what the site for Deb's menus is? Sounds like a good place to look.
