Need cheap accommodation on the beach!

Originally, we were going to leave WDW on Dec. 23rd and drive to Panama City Beach for one week (to stay with my mom). As it turns out, my father is quite ill, and my mom may not be going to Florida this winter.


We are now looking for inexpensive beach area accommodation (Dec. 23-30) an hour or two from Orlando (preferably gulf coast side, but doesn't really matter). We have no problems doing a time share presentation in order to secure an inexpensive rate. We prefer a motel room that offers a small kitchen (I think these type of units are called kitchenettes or one room efficiencies).

Any suggestions?????

Check for info about Sea Chest Motel, directly on the beach at Treasure Island. Our room had a small kitchen and dinning area.
