currently the twins are in their snugrides and my 2 year old is in his Britax RA. We love the RA and planned to get 2 more for the twins when they get close to growing out of the snugride. currently they are 11lb7oz and 22", 11lb14oz and 22.75", so its not iminent, however we'd like to buy them in the near future.
My question is I've been hearing a bit about the Britax Marathon. I'm wondering if we should get that for my older son and only buy one RA, using his for one of the twins. Or is it possibly for the RA to take us to the point when we would use a booster. when do you use a booster anyway? Daniel should be able to use the RA for a while still...he's 2.5 years old, around 28lbs and 33" or so. I believe the RA is good forward facing to 40lbs. Can't imagine how old he will be when he gets there! LOL! We're definitely huge fans of Britax, so plan to stay with them.

I guess I'm just looking for opinions here. Thanks for any and all input!

We're a Britax family here too. :) My 4 yr old is in the Britax Husky which we chose over a traditional booster seat. We felt having him in a 5-point harness for as long as possible was the safest thing to do! The Husky is expensive and BIG though, so your car would have to fit it. We have a Ford Windstar minivan and it fits great. My 2 yr old is in the Britax Roundabout and will stay in there for another year or so until he is too big, and then we'll buy a Husky for him too. And finally, we just moved our 4 month old from the Graco Snug-Ride into the other Britax Roundabout.

We just love BRITAX!!!! Worth every penny in our opinion!! ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

I think I didn't really answer your question!! LOL!

The Roundabouts go up to 40 pounds or 40 inches-whichever comes first. (My 4 yr old was 40 inches before he hit 40 pounds-that was when he was 3 yrs old.) The Husky goes from 22 all the way up to 80 pounds (or until the tips of their ears reach the top of the back of the seat), so it lasts a long time.

So, your 2 yr old will most likely be able to go right from the RA to a booster, or in our case the Husky. :)

thanks! that may just be what we do...I'll check it out. hey, our twins are 4 months old, too. born 3/12 (5 weeks early). how is your 4 month old doing? I'm sure much bigger than mine! :)

Oh neat!! Ben was born March 6th. He was due the 17th (St. Patrick's Day! I just loved telling people that! LOL!) I was scheduled for a repeat c-section on the 8th, but went into labor on the 6th. At his 4 month check-up on July 7th, he was 16 lbs 5 oz and 27 inches long. So he's doing well. :)

It sounds like your twins are doing very well considering they were 5 weeks early! Congrats, Congrats! :):)
