So far I have chosen a few restaurants to enjoy during our quick trip to the World. Oh and we are on free dining in Sept. I am looking for a place for breakfast, hopefully buffet, to go to on the morning before we go to MGM.

Here are my restaurant choices so far:
Le Cellier Steakhouse for the day we are in Epcot.
Whispering Canyon Cafe for the day we are in Magic Kingdom. We will just take the boat over.
Kona on the day we are going to Animal Kingdom. We don't think we will be there all day. So the plan is AK in the morning, Kona for dinner and back to either Epcot or MK depending on what else we want to do.
Last day will be MGM. I don't like any of the restaurants there, table service or counter serice. I would like to eat somewhere for breakfast before we get to the park. I am considering Boma, but it would be difficult to get from Pop to AKL and then to MGM for the day.

I am open to any and all suggestions.

Thanks! Sorry so long.

If you have your own car it is no big deal to go out of the way to eat where you want to eat. If you are relying on busses then it's a different story. We have had wonderful breakfasts over the years at :Boma, 1900 Park Faire (if you like biscuits and gravy this is a must), Boatwright's, Maya has always been good in the past but it's been a few years since we've been, Concourse Steakand Kona--all of these we have been to many times and been pleased.

I would pick Boma for a buffet breakfast.

Go to the Transportation Board to ask for the best way to get to the AKL.

For MGM (or Epcot) day, I think the perfect solution is the Cape May Cafe character breakfast buffet at the Beach Club resort. It's very near (you can take a boat after) to MGM and it has (I think) Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. in their bathing suits! Too cute.

Spoodes serves a very good breakfast! The french toast is wonderful. It is not a buffet, but they have an all you can eat platter.

You could bus to MGM, then take the boat back and forth.

I know its a little nerve racking to go from hotel to hotel on Disney Transportation but the CR has Chef Mickeys. We loved it there for breakfast. Its a buffet that has a candy "pit stop" for the kids, they can fill a bag up w/ candy before leaving. Its also a Character breakfast which I think is really cute as well.
There is also Hollywood Vine in MGM that will be serving breafast w/ the Pixar chara in June. You might want to just stay at MGM and try that.
Hope this helped, GL and have fun! :yay:

I second the Cape May breakfast :thumbsup2 We have seen Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale there. It is a little out of the way for most people so it doesn't seem to be as hectic as some of the other character breakfasts. We have made this our farewell breakfast from now on. After breakfast, it is a short walk to the dock where you can hop on a Friendship boat and ride it to MGM :sunny:

In addition to Cape May Cafe at the BC, the YC Galley has a really good buffet. You can also order a la carte there. There are no characters there, so it is quieter than Cape May and less crowded. Then you can take the boat over to MGM. Either one is good, just a different experience. Kind of depends what you are looking for.

Ohhhh, do they still do that???? My kids would love that!!
Is it only at breakfast, or dinner too?

Spoodles or Cape May, you will be happy.

I posted another thread asking about this, (the candy bags) and nobody has heard of it on that one. Do they do this still? Did it just start? Or just end?
thanks!
