Need breakfast recommendations for a couple making a September solo trip that have never made breakfast reservations before and don't mind the characters but would like a good variety of breakfast items. (ex: eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy?) :wave2:

I have read 1900PF at the Grand Floridian has a really good breakfast.
We will be trying that this trip

My favorites:

Table Service: Kona Cafe at the Poly - Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes, the Big Kahuna (great for 2) and Tonga Toast

Table Service: Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge - Breakfast skillet, Barbecued Eggs Benedict and milk shakes for breakfast.

Buffet: Boma at AKL - traditional breakfast favs and additional items with African influences and Frunch (juice).

Now that my kids are older, I appreciate the "quiet" breakfasts without characters.

We used to always do the Cape May Character Breakfast Buffet at the Beach Club. It does have the characters but is not such a "frenzy" as the other buffets and the food selection is good.

This year, we tried The Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club for the first time. I really enjoyed this buffet. It didn't have anything wild or crazy but had standard buffet fare, was *very* subdued, and excellent service.

Besides what you see on the buffet, you can have them cook eggs to your specification (omelets, fried, etc) if you don't see what you want on the buffet. I did not see eggs benedict on there but they seemed to have many other selections.

The last day of our 9/2011 trip the 4 of us (adults) went to the Wave in the CR. We usually eat breakfast in the villa, but ran out of groceries one day early. WOW - I was really impressed by the food quality, taste and service. It was so good, that we are now actually planning on a couple of visits to the Wave this coming Oct while we are at BLT.

GF Cafe & Kona are both great choices. Great food and menu. Im dying to try Captains grill. Heard it was wonderful!

Boma breakfast is delicious and puts a nice twist on Disney's typical breakfast buffets.

For our December adult only trip we have reservations at Olivia's, Kona's and Captain Grille. I want to try the Tonga Toast at Kona's and Olivia's had a nice variety it seemed. We have done the buffet before at Captain Grille and enjoyed it very much. In the past we did to Boma and thought it was very good.

We enjoy the options at Crystal Palace and an early reservation before park opening makes for some great photo opps. on Main Street :thumbsup2

I seem to say this a lot, but definitely check out the Kona Cafe. It's our favorite spot for breakfast, and it's more than Tonga Toast (though, for some, it doesn't need to be. :lmao:)

We love:

1900 PF (which you said was already on the list)
Cape May Cafe
Captain's Grille
Crystal Palace

We also like 'Ohana, but it's not a buffet and you don't order from a menu. Same for Cindrella's Royal Table.

I wasn't thrilled with the O'hana breakfast personally, though the pog juice they serve is heavenly. If you go there, ask for a mimosa made with that. So good and a great kickoff to a day at the park. For me, the best breakfast on property is actually at Kouzzina. No characters obviously, but superb quality for a great price point!

I didn't realize there were so many choices for breakfast, though I'm not a huge breakfast fan but DH is. Kona sounds like it will be his kind of place. Researching them all now!!! :cheer2:

We always have breakfast at Kona for the macadamia pancakes. Their other menu items are good too. Last time my hubby had the Somoan and it was really good. Other places we like are Kouzzina for the stacked breakfast and The Grand Floridian Cafe for the lobster eggs benedict.
