DW and I will be spending 5 days at SSR in December. First time without the kids. Last one finally off to college.
We're looking for some good Breakfast ideas. We plan to eat out more this trip.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Even though this is a simple place, Earl of Sandwich at DTD has delicious breakfast sandwiches. It might be nice to take a leisurely walk over in the a.m. and pick one up. They are cheap, too!!

We have eaten at Cape May (character breakfast buffet) but still the food is rather tasty for a character breakfast. We sampled the Grand Floridan Cafe
(I think is the name) once. Our breakfast was delicious! Starring Rolls at Hollywood Studios has a quick and tasty pastry-type breakfast.

Although we don't do that many breakfasts (always rushing to the parks), we have enjoyed the ones we've tried.

So it all depends on what you are looking for. We found the counter service at SSR to be very good for something quick. As far as breakfast around the world goes we stick to the buffets. I am not a big fan of buffets overall, but for breakfast I make an exception. The food at the Crystal Palace in the magic kingdom or at Chef Mickeys if you can get a reservation is usually a good bet. As far as the parks go, you will not get more than coffee and a danish unless you do a buffett. I don't think that any restaurant in the parks actually does a sit down breakfast. I would check out the dining page of the all ears site for good ideas. I also hear that they have a nice breakfast at the swan and the dolphin but you will have to make the trek to get there.

Spoodles has a nice breakfast. Especially if you are going to either EPCOT or DHS.

The Grand Floridian has a very nice breakfast and the hotel itself is lovely to visit afterwards .

We've stayed at SSR and like to walk to downtown disney for breakfast. Go over to MacD. with kids if without go to Earl of Sandwich. Nice sandwiches or other foods. Nice walk and very peaceful in am. Can get bus back to resort or walk again.

Kona Cafe at the Polynesian is excellent. Boatwright's at POR is very good too and convenient to SSR. Fresh at the Dolphin and Boma at AKL have excellent buffets without characters. The Sand Trap at Bonnet Creek Golf Club is close to SSR and offers a very peaceful setting for a quiet breakfast.

And I enjoyed the breakfast croissants at Artist Palette.

There's a beautiful bakery just as you get through the first section of Epcot? Fountain View something? A great place to sit and relax. In the MK we like to get our breakfast at the Main Street Bakery and sit at the tables with a view of the castle-shade is nice on a hot day! Have a great trip! Our first trip as empty nesters after college tuition, grad school tuition AND the wedding was so much fun!

I would recommend Olivia's at OKW. Close by to SSR, often overlooked for breakfast, and the food is actually quite good and the atmosphere is nice.
