need beach info

I am going to the Southern Cali area mid july and plan on visiting some of the beaches.... Are there places there to rent beach chairs, boogie boards ect... I can throw some extra towels in our suitcases but obviously can't do the other things....

Not exactly sure where you're going to be, but my favorite San Diego area beach is Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas. Plenty of parking, bathrooms and concessions. Also, they have boards, chairs and umbrellas right there for rent.

Our beach plans are La Jolla, Huntington and/or Newport. Venice is more of a people watching/shopping ect beach area, right?
Right now we are in another winter storm--- california dreaming... beaches WARM

Mission Beach in San Diego has tons of places to rent. It does get crowded, mostly on weekends, but it's always been a favorite of mine. South Mission Beach is less crowded.
