I'm in 2 bake sales this month that will be held in the early morning time. So I need some breakfast ideas as well as the normal foods for later in the day.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Here are a few breakfast ideas:
homemade granola or granola bars
crumb cake
coffee cake
cinnamon rolls
muffins
pound cake
cupcakes (in my opinion, they're perfect at any time of the day  )
scones
donuts (I think Krispy Kreme has a fundraiser program)

I love bake sales! Good luck!

Pumpkin, Carrot, Zuc Breads. You can make them in the smaller pans.

My kids love banana bread. Make in loaves or I make them in mini-muffin tins for easy morning breakfasts.

3 ripe bananas--mashed and/or whipped in one bowl

Cream
1/2 margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs

Add dry:
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

add dry to creamed mixture. Mix until incorporated, then add whipped bananas.

Makes one large loaf or 2 small loaves or
I usually make one small loaf and 24 mini-muffins.

Bake at 350 degrees.
Loaves bake longer 40-60 min. depending on size.
I think the mini muffins take about 20 min. Bake until toothpick comes out clean.
Enjoy!

We use to have this bakery when I was growing up right next to school and they served "Cream Puffs" , this was what I lived for in the morning just smelling them made everyone at school have a good day. :cloud9: It is a puffed pastry with vanilla pudding stuffed inside coated with a thin sugar
frosting

Some great ideas already. I can't add much, but:
breads of all types
turnovers
And don't forget the coffee, juice, milk
quiche
french toast (cassarole type)
crossants
pigs in a blanket/kolaches

How about homemade granola packaged in a cellophane bag tied with a cute ribbon?

Chess Cake Squares...these are SOOOO GOOD and go great with coffee

1 (18.25-ounce) package yellow butter cake mix
2 large eggs
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1 (16-ounce) package powdered sugar
2 large eggs (in addition to above)

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine first 3 ingredients in large mixing bowl. Beat thoroughly. Spread mixture in a well-greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
Beat next 3 ingredients until smooth and creamy. Pour over cake batter.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. (Topping will be "gooey".)
Makes 24 to 36 servings.

Funny you should ask! just made this recipe for Banana Bread for the first time today (had to try a new recipe since I didn't have butter in the house and didn't feel like making a special trip):

2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
4 very ripe bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda and powder, salt. In a large bowl cream together eggs and sugar. Stir in mashed bananas, vanilla, oil and cinnamon. Stir in flour mixture, a third at a time, until just combined. Divide batter into two 9x5 loaf pans. Bake for about 1 hour

Very easy to make, and quite tasty. :thumbsup2

For what it's worth, I added some chocolate chips just because I felt like it, and alternatively, I think this recipe would taste good with pecans or walnuts, too.

Enjoy!

You could always make quick bread in the muffin tin cups as well.

It sounds kind of wierd, but it has always been a big seller at our "bake sales" is selling fresh fruit, ie apples, bananas, oranges. You actually get a lot of people who'd pay $1-$1.50 for a piece of fruit who says "oh, I shouldn't.........."

But my vote is for PB&J squares. Basically a shortbread/PB cookie dough pressed into 13x9 pan(2/3 of dough), spread jelly (raspberry and/or peach sound yummy) top with crumbled leftover 1/3 of dough and then topped with rough chopped peanuts. bake in 350 oven for about 30 min. Cool. Cut in squares and wrap in cellophane bags or even zippy bags. If you want the actual recipe (cause you don't have a PB cookie recipe) just let me know. and I'll get it out.

Rice krispie treats are always the first things to sell at our bake sales.
