We will be arriving in San Diego on Friday, August 15th around 2pm. We will be heading home early Saturday morning on the 23rd. My original plan was Disneyland only, but we have decided to do Legoland and the San Diego Zoo. My dream was to visit Disneyland and I don't want to make that part too short. Airline tickets have already been bought and nothing can be changed. My question is . . . do I do the zoo on Saturday, Legoland on Sunday and then head to Disneyland for 5 days. Do you think that Legoland will be too crazy on a Sunday? Should I wait until Monday and spend another day in San Diego and do Legoland on Monday? That would leave us with 4 full days at Disneyland, but I don't want to be rushed. I have been debating this for weeks now. Help! Oh yeah, I just read that Legoland will be opening a new aquarium. Do I try to fit that in also? I don't want to turn our relaxing, fun, vacation into our typical, wonderful, but crazy Disneyworld vacations.

How old are your kids? I am new on here but I have been to Disneyland MANY times as well as San Diego since I went to college down there. Both me & DH LOVE San Diego...if your planning on going down there there is Balboa Park & other places that are so beautiful...plus great beaches (better than LA area beaches In my opinion).
I think when I was younger we went down for a week and spent 2-3 days at Disney and then did the zoo, seaworld, Old Town San Diego, etc. for 3 days. Probably confused you even more.

Oops! I forgot to add that I have a son is who is almost 9 and twin girls who are 7.

I know that they would enjoy Seaworld, but we are planning to go to Universal in Florida and Seaworld next year when the Harry Potter part of Universal opens. I heard that the two Seaworlds are not that different. Any opinions on that?

My suggestion would be to visit non-Disney parks first, just because they probably won't have the same Disney "magic" and you might be disappointed.
